Hey all! So, I plan to run a perpetual grow of around 6 plants. 3 or 4 flowering at a time but at different maturity levels. I have a 600w HPS, 400w Mh, 324w T5 (6 bulb/4ft). Flower room is 8.5x5x8. I have heard you should finish vegging with an Mh to get it used to the hid lighting ( last 2 weeks). I also know that it is good to mix the Mh and HPS in flower. I know my 600w is not enough for the 8x5 room too. The mh is rated at 38k lumens and the T5s at 30k. But, the mh has to be about 2 ft above because of the heat and the t5s can sit just a couple inches above.
My question is, should I put the mh and hps in the flower room and just veg with the T5s? Or, should I use the mh to finish vegging? Or, should I veg with the mh and put my T5s in the flower room with the HPS. Just looking for your opinions on how you would set it up with these three lights. I could move the mh light from room to room as needed. It would be a pain though. Also, sine I will be doing perpetual and have plants in all stages of life, it may not work to move it around. What would you guys do? Will the T5s be enough for mother plants? ( on a side note, should I even keep mothers or should I just clone clones?
thanks guys!
