6th Official Party Cup Grow Competition!!!!!!

My opinion has always been that the holes should be screened so roots can't grow outside the cup. You know damn well that someone will take advantage of roots outside the cup and only trim them before weekly photos.
Pruning stray roots that extend out the holes is permitted. Gotta have a clean cup bottom in your pictures.

That said, if you grow a chia head down there, you're just screwing yourself as you're going to have to constantly prune like a bat outta hell, and that will no doubt stunt growth, in these little cups, or split your cup...so its just not worth it. And we'll be able to tell.

I screen mine cuz I'm lazy, and don't want to deal with a possible root hassle later.

Anyone thought about using Blumats for this comp or going to use them? Been thinking about maybe using them so I don't have to hand water twice or three times a day once they're flowering and drinking lots of water. Just not sure yet Cuz the Blumat "carrot" itself will take up root room in the medium.

Curious...your Gatorade cups are your comp entrants? They appear to say 591ml on them. If I recall, 16oz is 473ml...not trying to stir shit up, but I'm scratching my head here...did frozen give you clearance on these "cups"?
I dont think anywhere he says those are his entries.... Look how big those plants are lol no way they were germed in this month. I believe he was just showing that you can grow without drainage holes.... Hope that clears things up

yea sorry, bry is correct. if frozen wants to delete that he can
You are saying that these pictures that you posted have been germinated 11 days ago?
Or are you just saying that you are using the same type of containers?

Sorry, I am not getting what you are saying..

Hey all. Just started germination on 3 of my picks; i have a new seed order (AND party cups) waiting to be picked up tomorrow, and i will make my final 2 picks from that bunch. To be honest i have no clue what would make the perfect 12/12 party cup grow, so i'm relying on female intuition here... which means i'll probably go for the seeds that are prettiest looking
Anyways, declaring myself now as a very low budget grow(er). Basic soil, nutes, and cheap/free beans  the charlie brown award is in sight!

Edit...i even bought a new sharpie for the comp, taking this VERY seriously.
