Hey guys just got my 4 pack of GoGreen LED panels, thought id post a thread and keep track of these plant's progress with these lights.

A little background, these 6 plants were "GSC" clones we bought from our local dispensary, which i still regret. After we ran into some spidermites, and i flowered some clones i got from the same dispensary, and was extremely disappointed by the genetics of those clones and the end product. so i do not expect these plants to produce quality bud.

Another reason we dont trust the dispensaries anymore is because my roomate and I bought two different strains, however the end result, the bud, the growth and shape of the plants were exactly the same. I'm guessing its easier for them to sell shitty clones if they can name them anything they want.

Anyways these 6 clones were first vegged under two 250W CFL's, then after 10 weeks of veg we put in 3 Mars Hydro 600 panels. they definitley began to grow more after we put them under the Mars. We did this switch about 2 weeks ago. We have been using Kyle Kushman's line of veganic nutes.

However we have 8 GDP seedlings we got shipped from overseas that we expect to produce much better quality buds once these GSC are done flowering.(8x4 tent is split into two 4x4 rooms, one for veg & one for flowering)

They're in 5gal pots, Happy frog soil. (The GDP seedlings are going to go in Canna Coco)

Basically just want to keep track of how these plants all respond to these expensive COB fixtures, and might even do a 1k DE HPS comparison grow.

Hey bro.. I should receive my mars 130 watt for 2 or 3 this week... Starting off...
From my hours upon hours of research I think you can expect a bit better bud with LED... (being lighter on watering...)!!
Can you check my question pls mate.
Hope it goes well bro. Cheers !!!

Well im not sure about expecting better bud from LED. Some people claim that LED can get you better colors in your bud, but i'm not too sure about all that. Light photons are light photons regardless of HPS or LED, the advantage to LED is being able to run with less electricity costs, and less heat produced from the LEDs means they're more efficient (efficiency is a big deal in the LED community).

I grew two plants under one Mars Hydro 600 (278w draw) and i managed to pull 105g total, of some okay - mid shelf - bud. I blame the lack of quality in the genetics of the clones i bought, i feel like the light did pretty good for what it is.

I found a really good tutorial on the LED mars... Go to YouTube ...( " This is how I grow marijuana". )
By cali green.
Enjoy that 20 minutes :)))).
Your supplier sounds a little iffy ?? Maybe time for an order ??
Cheers

Quality genetics play a huge role. After a few runs with GalaxyHydro 300, I went to COBs and there is no comparison. We're talking about apples and oranges. The best harvest I ever got from the blurple was just under 0.6 grams per watt. After seeing the bud size under COBs, it's hard to imagine anything under a gram per watt.

Yes i learned the hard way how big genetics are. Hopefully those GDP actually pull some smokeable quality nug! the shitty gsc clones though, i dont have much hope for.
1gpw would be lovely. that would be just under 2lbs. i want to be able to pull those insane 2.5-3lb harvests under single DE 1000W HPS with these lights. Seeing as how much more lumens these lights put out than a 1k HPS it should be doable with everything dialed down i believe.

What size of an area do you have the lights covering?

How do you like the new lights so far?? Do you see any difference in growth , bracnhing, etc.
Plants definitley responded well, you can see more of the smaller shoots reaching toward the light, i had to tuck and bend even more branches, i lifted the lights to 21" to get a canopy reading at 77f

800w seems kind of overkill but i'm interested in seeing how this turns out :)
What do you mean? ive never heard of too much light to be honest im curious.
