So my mini split is clearly undersized so it’s running 24/7 when the lights are on. In turn it legit sucks all the humidity out of my rooms. I’m hitting optimal temp somewhere from 78-81 F* but with only 10% humidity several hours after watering and foliar spraying. I’m thinking of just shooting a bunch of water everywhere so the light can evaporate it.. maybe there is a way I can hack my mini split so it doesn’t dehumidify as much. This is a sealed co2 enhances grow btw.

any ideas? Big humidifier? Swamp cooler(doesn’t these exhaust co2 out the room)?

do you have a burner to add humidity ?
ballast inside or outside the room ? outside they will produce less heat and ac will run less
humidifer will help also

A nice swamp cooler would add humidity and help cool the space. Win win. Hook it to an inkbird or other humidity controller and you are good to go. Make sure you get a swamp cooler that will auto restart after a power outage if you intend to use it on a controller, some of the smaller ones with digital controls won't restart without user intervention, the old school ones with normal analog switches are the way to go.

If you just set the unit in the room it will pull air form the room and blow it back into the room so no air exchange.

I have one of those in my veg room, the ones in my flower rooms are bigger window models that I just sat on cement blocks. They make different sizes so you can find one that fits your needs. A larger unit on low is my preferred way to go so that it's not making so much wind and blasting the plants. If you can aim it away from the plants thats great, sometimes it's not an option tho.

Are your lights air cooled? If not, that might be your answer. The air stream is sealed so it doesn't pull tent air and it will remove heat so your mini split may be more effective.

Get a small evaporative cooler and you will be good to go. It's just a big ass humidifier.

Nah not air cooled. Night temps get extremely low here so that may be the case. It's barely keeping up tho. It'll start at 68-70* and gradually over 12 hours max out at mid 80's. Only good for co2 enriched grows. Now if I used that flowering room for veg and the lights were on 18 hours. There would be no way that mini split would work well enough. I also have like 6 fans in there and all the ballasts(magnetic) in the room. Not ideal, but it's working. :hump:
