1 killowatt= 1000 watts

just figure out how many killowatts you are using an hour and multiply it by .06 for the cost.

what i'm trying to ask is. If a 1,000 watt light is running for one hour does that equal a kilowatt hour?

roughly, yes... the ballast actually draws a little bit more tho (about 10% more)
