A/C unit connected to Lights. Any issues?

My tent is 8x4x7 and is setup inside my garage. Portable A/C unit is 8,000 btu. The A/C unit is setup outside my tent but I used ducting to connect it to the top of the tent. The reason why it's outside the tent is because there isn't enough room on the inside. Also, the hot air coming out of the A/C unit blows inside my garage.

My temps inside my garage get pretty high. This summer is not nearly as hot as other summers. Normally this time of the year the temps get up to 105-110F outside. But now a days it's only 82F. I'm not sure what my temps are in the garage but it's always higher then outside.

Thanks for the help

I'm just going to leave my setup as it is with the A/C blowing over the lights to cool the tent and not only the lights. You guys make a lot more sense with cooling the tent and not just the lights.

Here's a couple pictures of what my current grow looks like. I didn't take a picture of the left side of the tent because my ballast is magnetic on that side.

I had to top two of the plants again 3 weeks into flowering because they stretch to much.

These are all Super Lemon Haze.

I didn't read thru all posts, but if you use a/c in the room you should run it as a closed system with co2 injection. if you are trying to cool lights, I'd say use fans only & use multiple inline fans if needed.
