A Guide To Colloidal Silver

I only had to apply once or twice to get pollen when I made it. I too made a DIY one and it worked, but the parts were more than just the cost of it now. You can buy like a liter bottle of the stuff now. And you are also going to get people who have zero success with their DIY models using the wrong current.

They sell this one for like $60. Again, look at my original post, where I say if you have all the parts to make one great, but if you are going to buy stuff for it just buy a bottle of the stuff.
Just as I suspected...that is NOT CS.
Quote from a random sellers link on amazon...you are using STS..."We have gone through all the trials and errors and have created a blend of silver nitrate that works consistently.".

You don't want to say probably, you want to say you suspect.

I get my shipping for free. You don't, sucks to be you. I also could care less about something that costs less than my beer consumption a week. I also know there are many people who messed up making their own and would have been much better off just buying it. But I get you, all of you guys have very unique situations, some make zillions of seeds, some live in Antartica and shipping is a pita. And you, you're just a jackass.

That stuff isn't colloidal silver. It's a sliver nitrate blend AKA Silver Thiosulphate or something just like it. STS is what I'll be using to make balls and I make my own of that too. I couldn't find silver nitrate online thru Amazon or any chem suppliers so I made my own from a .9999 silver coin and hot concentrated nitric acid. 8g coin got me 12g of AgNO3 for the $20 it cost me for the coin and I found another the same size at a thrift store for $10. 500g of the sodium thiosulfate, Part B, was a $22 and I only need 3.16g of it and 0.8g of the silver nitrate to make up the 500ml stock sol'ns that will make 10L of the STS so maybe $2 for a bottle the size of the one in your pic while you'd pay $990US for the same thing. The 16oz bottle is $60 and that 32oz'r is $99. The brown glass bottles I bought cost 3x more than the fluids I'll put in them.

Once the two parts are mixed together to make it into STS it has a fairly short shelf life and even if kept in the fridge will likely be useless in 3 months. That stuff won't last any longer.

I never bothered using my CS to make balls but then I never had no use for fem seeds but now I've seen the light and auto fems are what I need for outdoor growing way up north here so I'm gonna make lots once I get a decent strain to replicate.

You sound dumber every post. Things like silver nitrate or the sodium thio I got cost extra for dangerous goods shipping. I had to pay $69 to Purolator to get $22 worth of chemical delivered from Ontario to northern Alberta. Then drive 30 min up the highway to pick it up.

Shit I can order from Amazon comes with free shipping over $35 through Canada Post so I can get it when I go to town to shop and get my mail. That's only 10 miles away.

Hello, I'm spraying colloidal silver spray 100ppm on 3 branches of 3 different plants. About 20 days ago, so far no sign of polemic bags. I did the test with the laser to test if there was a particular silver, and really the laser is very visible. I'm using 1 or 2x a day, is the plant simply taking too long to revert?

Do have the plant under 12/12 lighting?

After 20 days if it didn't work you should at least be seeing flowers.

A f'n 8oz bottle! lol Cost me maybe 2¢ to make that much.
If there were no option to buy some product like this already made. I would rather pay some friend of mine 200 bucks to make a bottle of it for me than to start making it myself.

I would rather use my time on something else than on figuring out how to make it, getting all equipment and likely spending some money on them, actually making it etc.

If i was broke and really needed the hermie spray, im sure i would make more than 200 bucks during the time i would spend on figuring it out, especially considering that if i made it myself, i might have to spend some money on gear.

So yeah, if you like doing chemistry, go ahead, im sure its a fun hobby, but for me and for many others this growing or breeding thing is more fun if they dont have to learn and do any extra chemistry, so that 20 bucks a bottle would be pretty sweet price. I could get some bit cheaper colloidal silver online that is not sold for making feminised seeds but for general use, but i can get the fem spray from local hydro store, so i rather pay some extra for getting it easily. Also ordering online i would need to pay for shipping, so they would end up being about the same price in the end..

Yes they are in 12/12, and yes its showing nice flowers already...but no male sacs =(
Unfortunately it doesn't look like it's working. Where did you get the CS? If you bought it online some of it will not work regardless of the silver content they claim is in the solution.

If it's a strain you really want to keep you can still take a few clones even though you're already in flower. They might take longer to root and you'll have to let them reveg but you'll still have the strain to try again.

Good luck.

Heck, I'll mix up both parts of STS solution, put them in separate bottles, and send you enough to reverse dozens of plants.

You should really comment that you are speaking for yourself as I'm sure that many growing or breeding their own pot have a lot more fun because of the learning process. I know I always have in the decades I've been growing pot and processing it in various ways. I get to apply many things I learned getting a diploma in chemistry in my 30s to the things I do with pot. 30 years later in my mid 60s I still enjoy learning new things and have even more time to indulge my various hobbies.

I also find a great deal of satisfaction in researching a project and then bringing it to fruition at the lowest cost possible. The fact that it saves me money really satisfies my frugal Scottish side too. :)

I did say this "but for me and for many others.." and i did say that im sure its a fun hobby if you are into it, so do a fun hobby if you want to, but assuming that everyone who does not care to do all the work and studying and would rather just pay for someone else to do that is a fool and a cheap bastard is just silly. "lol i pay 2c for this amount"

Many people would need to save 80+ bucks an hour minimum for it to be worth their time and they would say that you are a fool who wastes his time doing work that does not make much money.

People should just do what they like to do and not think that everyone who does not do the same is a fool who pays overprice or something OR think that someone who enjoys a particular hobby is a fool because he wastes time on projects that dont produce much money.

Homemade CS is easy to make and much more reliable than anything you can buy online unless it's an overpriced product targeted towards cannabis growers.

STS is as easy to make as mixing up a batch of koolaid which is why I use it. It doesn't take a chemist to mix 2 chemicals with water. I paid $50 for enough to make gallons and gallons. It takes 5 minutes to mix up. The chemicals stay in a cupboard until I need them. No need to bother with ordering a 1 use 8oz bottle that can reverse 1 plant. But if people want to give their money to someone else for what they can easily do themselves then it's their money to give away.

I've barely made a dent in the sodium thiosulfate and silver nitrate I bought and I've reversed close to a dozen plants. So I spent $50 and have enough chemicals left to revers at least 50 more plants. So I've saved a lot more than $80. But I'm not a person to give my money away if I don't have to and I'm definitely not giving it to the cannabis marketing industry for a bottle of water. Be that CS, nutrients, or any of the other overpriced products they slap the word cannabis on and sell for outrageous prices.

I've sent out the chems to a few people so far with 2 pages of instructions. Mailing costs is just for a letter. I have a bunch of those tiny ziplock bags and staple them to the top of the two pages and fold it up. They can find their own bottles as sending a half litre each of the two parts is a lot more expensive and could be broken in transit.

Personally I wouldn't send that rude dude anything. ;)

I see there is a lot of debating going on and I’m not sticking my nose in it. I just simple would like a opinion. This will be my first round of trying to make fem seeds and I came across this product wanted to know if it will work or if anyone has had experience with said productE01C6A2D-30BE-4B0B-920C-1B043C0E5CD2.jpegC6A05650-F881-4A46-8A32-E02DAC97E231.jpeg
