A little advice needed please.

Im about a week away from drying this grow so no dramas but for future grows i would like to know what/if anything i can do about how brittle and dry the leaf is also the yellow spots on my leaves?
Or even if i have to do anything!
The yellowing started about a fortnight ago.

Looks like a mite infestation. Check the leaves carefully, including the undersides. If it is mite, you will need to act quickly to remedy the situation.

Just saw that you plan to cut in one week. They may still be too young to harvest.

I think your right.
I just noticed little black things on the underside of some of the leaves.
Could you give me more advice on what to do at this point of flowering?

hey there pal first your no where near ready to cut her down!!!! so dont waste a plant that you worked so hard on, second they look abit like mite's get one of thos Illuminated microscope to be sure, so you can take your next step, nitegazer is right you must act quikly for mites
 
I am going on what a friend said to me when i got the cuttings.
I am 7 weeks into flowering now so just assumed it would take one more week.

I have been looking at a product called nite nite spider mite...do you think i have enough time to use products?
 
Do you have her in a sealed environment? I had a bad mite infestation and went with No Pest Strips. What I did was shut down all lights and ventilation for 24 hours, stuck my NPS in my tent for the 24 hour shut down. When I turned everything back on almost 90% of them weren't moving with a few still left alive. I've been sticking my No Pest Strip in there during lights off for a few hours since to kill anything that might still be left from hatching. I believe one female can produce 500 in just 5 days, so the sooner you get on them the better. I easily lost half my yield due to these fuckers on my last cycle.

I think you will be better off risking a late harvest (and killing the critters) than either harvesting early, or letting the mites eat for a couple more weeks.

As for the product you mention-- never heard of it, and don't know the ingredients, so can't answer. I would probably stick with neem (like in the thread I pointed you to) and start as quickly as possible, so you can harvest as early as possible (~3 weeks). Your call.
 
hey man,judging by you pics i agree your not ready to harvest,
it looks like another 2 or 3 weeks to me,you need more of those white hairs to go red...good way to tell is check the trichromes with a good camera,half milky and half amber
i also had a problem like you and used those bug strips,did the trick and what is left you can try wiping down the plant top to bottom with a weak detergent solutuion every couple of days.
 
After you use the strips if you decided to go with them you'll see nothing but dead spider mites. If you have an air pump used for blowing up air mattresses (or a hair dryer but dont use hot air) you can use that to blow off the dead mites. Then poor sand over your soil to kill anything still hibernating in the soil, that will suffocate anything that is still in there. You're not too far from harvest but if you don't take care of those bugs your plants will take longer and lose yield. The sooner you fight those little fuckers off the sooner your plant will thank you for it.

I managed to get hold of some predatory mites yesterday.
Its my first time using them but my research seemed to suggest they were the best way to go.
Fingers crossed i guess.
