A newbie to organics

Definitely looks like light stress to me.. Jacks just a little more sensitive than the others..
It takes a while to see improvement and sometimes they don't improve.
I bought a lux meter to help dial down the lights. You just can't tell by eyeball!
With HID you just put your hand at the canopy, if it didn't burn you were good.

Thanks man, I raised my lights by quite a lot ,more than I would usually and turned it down to 40%, hoping this would help. like you said the jacks more sensitive. The others bounced back.it’s 28 c in the tent, summer time where I live.my lights are about 1200mm from the ladies which I thought would be more than enough.the other 3 are sour puss, sour diesel and triple g they are algood.

Not as big as the last grow , just managing the thrips.any1 had a adult thrip fly in their ear, not the best feeling especially when it keeps tryna fly , eww man, got a blood nose from shaking my head so hard tryna get it out.

So I’ve managed to get Beauvaria Bassiana in liquid form , does anybody know if the spores that form on the bugs will get into the buds?

also I brought Bacillus subtilis by mistake,thinking it was Beauvaria Bassiana.
Does any body know what it actually does?

I googled it and it pretty much says it fights powdery mildew, the description on the site I brought it from says a lot of shit I don’t understand.

I put this on another thread but didn’t get and bites, what do you fellas think about these.

Week 5 for the gals , not the prettiest, had a few issues this run, but still ok I guess.

Got 15 oz, not bad considering.

The ladies in the mock up soil have had there fair deal of issues also. Leaf curl, knats.


The new soil has being cooking for 2 weeks now.


i used a bit for my clones as a test.


Lost count of the cycle now, mayb 7th. 1st week of flower. Sour d and sour puss. reamended with a dry veg mix and bokashi and ewc for this run.


some amendments I’ve used to create the new soil. This mix , is from the place I get my amendments from.
50%peat
20%EWC
5%biochar
25%pumice or barley(I used 50/50 of both of these).
Amend with compost/ewc. I prefer to feed my worm bin with the dry amendments that I intend to top dress with.

14 days since 12/12 in the 4x4

Update.
New soil has been going ok, ladies seem to be liking it with not many issues.
The seedlings took a hit from the soil but once I up-potted they got better literally overnight.

Looks like your grow is going really well. You're right about not loosing heart, I think organics takes a little patience but is rewarding if you learn to read your plants properly. Whats your main light, invisible sun?

Thanks appreciate it very much. Yes it’s the hard part, it’s really easy to give up, especially when you’ve just built your soil and it takes a few grows before it gets going, it’s hard to cope with slow growing plants at first.

The new soil seems to have taken off quite well. We will see in flower if it’s got the goods.

Nah mate the light is x2 300w 1x sleep light 1xUV light . 60w sidelights. 100w bloom light under canopy. There New Zealand grow lights.

seacliff soil going ok for first run. Was a little bit slow but getting better. Still haven’t added any worms or top dress.

The 3x3 didn’t go so well on its first cycle , 10week flower they still weren’t ready but had other plants that could not wait due to space confinements.


french Mac and mendo Chanel kush are now in there spot and are going ok so far.

Update on the 4x4 , seems alrite not perfect.

Week6 getting sm fall colours nw. My watering was a bit excessive in the last 2 weeks , and brought on a few nats. Under control nw , but a few did fly into my bud.

High humidity is a bitch for molds. I can't believe what a difference new windows is making in our house when it comes to humidity and temps. Near a 100 again last couple of days and we kept the bedroom at a comfortable 75 the whole time. I notice the humidity riding as the temps get cooler. Figured I can use the portable AC if temps get out of hand this grow. Also planning on using my 4 inch fan as a intake for fresh air and the new larger one for exhaust and filtering. Listening to a podcast called "Mr. Grow it". The guy I bought the lights from does his YouTube editing. Listening to basic amendments for organic gardening at the moment. So much to learn and try to retain with gardening.
Hope you are taking it easy, I didn't like hearing that you were feeling worse than the day before. Presume you aren't smoking and are staying hydrated and trying to eat well. Take it easy friend!

Ye humidity suxs , been using a dehumidifier to keep it down . The soil has been the same from two years ago , maybe cycle 8 nw. I’ve been using seacliff amendments they make bloom and veg mixes, which are great for top dressing. Also watering with coconut and fermented comfrey with the fortnightly addition of compost tea. I have the same idea like you with the forced intake. Yep 150mm extraction with 100mm forced intake. Just use seperate ac infinity controllers to manually hit the sweet spot. Thanks man , I just can’t shake this illness off.

Thanks mate , it’s been a very interesting journey learning organics and it keeps ya on ur toes as you would know.

Would anybody have any knowledge on some good cbd strains.

Some that have great taste and good for extraction. Have recently got my mmj from the docs and it’s pretty strong(shishkaberry) it’s only 15%thc, so that’s great for sleeping.

Would like to grow my own cbd for muscle aches as there’s only the oil they supply.
