Yes, yes she did. She signed the contract. She could have halted construction of that road at any time, and due to the death of the bridge, re-allocated that money to fixing existing roads. No sir... she had that road built... because she wanted that bridge built... till she had to pay for it.
Congress killed the project. She green lighted the project. She still took the money and had the road built. Once we were no longer paying for it, THEN she stopped supporting it.

Palin - Yes. I would like to see Alaska's infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now--while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist.
She made it a campaign position. It is all very well documented. She didn't oppose the bridge until it became a national laughing stock. McCain himself used it as a perfect example of wasteful earmark spending... so they cut the money to it. THEN she said oh... no thanks.
