Wow I have read this thread from start to finish and I cant beleive this thread is not closed yet .... I have gotten some serious laughs out of this thread and have become very disturbed by some posts.... hey to rip man whatever works for you works but you insulting people when they are just trying to help you out and you cannot see that ? anyway I used cfl's for my first grow than decided to go outside eventually being outside and where I live is not a ideal climate to grow in. Fed up with bud rot and fluffly buds I decided to go on craigslist I got a great deal 600 watt hps 2 digital ballasts a light mover and rails and 10 hangers the guy even threw in a ballast for a supernova led light from hid hut ! all the ballasts are from hidhut and the air cooled hood with reflector all for 150 bucks ! granted its used barely but in great condition anyway man my trials and tribulations have shown me to hps and now I will never go back to cfl if it works for you more power to you but my plants are loving the hps ! denser thicker fuller.... this thread has gotten way out of hand and needs to be closed...

if they gave advice they way you presented it i am all ears.. And surge, my whole point was to give a thread showing how i made a terrible system work for me,,and once again, the invade my thread and insult my bud, I obviously know hps is the way to go.in the beginning i was told from the "experts" i would get no yeild with my set up,,I only wanted to throw egg in there face becuase i get good harvestable bud..thanks for the comment. Well dont say I didnt try,cos I gave you options, even about using a HPS that will use a third of the power for same yield without needing any extra ventilation and it seemed to be ignored. You can grow good bud with CFLs...thats why people use em for stealth, but you can grow awesome bud even with a small 150w hps needing no more than an open door and an oscillating fan.
