That looks like it may put the fan farther away from a wall, which should help keep the fan from destroying itself. Something I'm not seeing anyone mention on these is that the power cord runs through the fan head, which oscillates. How many people's fans will die because they didn't leave enough slack in the cable or it moves in such a way as to otherwise cause a mild restriction to the oscillator and fry the fan?

Nah... better to mount a hurricane between the back poles and be done with it. Unless someone is blasting their plants, you can't tell what type of fan was used during the grow. Likewise it would be impossible to definitively state that a cloudray grows better weed than a hurricane, regardless of whether you can play with it remotely or schedule it.

Mine just came in the mail and I’m pissed, cheaply made overpriced junk that’s not fully functional without an additional $70 controller. Fuck ac infinity man they spent more manufacturing hype than they do their products.

Ouch. So fancy features can on be run with the new controller, the controller that can run four different fans? Aren't they like $99 dollars for the Bluetooth/wifi connections?

It'll work with either the 69's and will work with the 67 or the older 'digital' controllers but you need an adapter for the cable. Mine's been working fine for the past few months since I got it.

Emotions happen. Do you think the plastic feels almost brittle like? Shiny plastic always make me think brittle. Is the pole clamp solid or does it flex when you hang the fan?

It's solid.

Doesn't feel particularly cheap to me.

I paid £60 for mine and I'm happy with it.

The price put me off first time I heard them mentioned but a monkey fan costs £30 and if they last more than a year I'm surprised, plus they ain't so quiet. But before these came along they were the only fan to reliably hold onto the poles.
So I figured if they are much quieter I would give them a shot.
Sound is a major selling point for me.

They're light but that doesn't necessarily mean cheap. Also in a tent situation, light is good. No stress on the poles or the clamp-arm & less wear and tear on the mechanism that does the oscillation.

I've only had mine a few months, but so far it's quiet and hasn't had any issues. Though in terms of long-term use, of course we'll have to wait and see.

If the gears are metal then it’s quality that’ll last. I’m not sure what they use, I haven’t bought any ACI products.

So are they quiet ? I had small garden high pro 5w and it had annoying kind of "buzzing" sound when blades spinned. Now i run secret jardin 20w oscillating on speed controller and it makes lot of random sounds. But both of them carry a lot of vibration to my tents poles and this is main noise maker (low frequency - guess my neighbours can think i run second fridge lol). I saw video of cloudray on amazon and there was audible motor/blades buzz . Do yours carry vibrations/have that "buzz" from blades/motor spinning ?

I've had a few secret Jardin fans and the ac infinity is less noisy.
In part because there's 10 speeds. I think mines on like 5 or 6 speed.
They also don't vibrate as much , probably because they're made better.
The noise I hear more than anything is the motor which makes it oscillate .

They are much quieter but still louder than my extraction fan.
It's a noise I can live with.
I think they're only 7w too on full power bit would have to check the box.

Just opened mine ..
I don't see any ratings anywhere on the fan or the packaging, but with oscillating off, it draws 3 watts on the halfway setting, 7 watts on highest - turning on oscillation adds 4 watts (7 and 11, respectively).
noisier than I'd like, and it's kind of an obnoxious higher pitched buzz, but it is quieter and more powerful than than my lowes clip on fan, and of course, oscillates too. Tbf lowes fan is $13 so there's probably a value proposition there, but as long as it doesn't fail prematurely, this definitely gets the thumbs up

Mine has been set at 5 or 6 for its life, and it's way quieter than the Honeywell fans or the other cheap fans I've used for circulation. It's not dead silent, but its not loud or disruptive. I can't hear it when it's running and I'm the next room over and when I'm near my tent it's a mild hum.

Soooo....couple months in and the plug isn't quite working right anymore so I just have it disconnected running like a "normal" fan
