lol, geez.....

no separate forum; that's just a waste of bandwidth. cfl's are ok for what they can be used for. your cab is crazy. with that much power, you're sooooooo much better off with hid in a tube it's unreal. look at your density and penetration and bud size/mass.....

seriously, if you need a light, let me know.

edit to say: i swear to god i'm not trying to be a bitch; ever have a time where everything you say/think/type is wrong or comes out the wrong way? :p rrrrr

Yeah, they are dicks. I thought when i found this forum that it would be so cool to talk and get some ideas from what i though was pretty cool people. But it turns out that most of them are only on here to brag about there setups and to talk down on the new people. They forget that they were all newbs at one point. Hell i bet if we look up all of their first posts, they where just as curious as us to what can be accomplished with what room they have to work with. For now on i will not be posting anymore on this forum. Instead i hope that if i have a ? about my CFL grow that i can atleast send you nice guys a PM. Peace Out Humboldt. I hope that they will give you the forum that CFL's deserve.

I guess I'm going to come across as a loser, but don't take this the wrong way. How many watts of CFLs do you have going in that grow? How many plants? What I'm getting at is this, budget...why save 10 dollars a month for half the bud? You could get a HID in there I know it and I bet your yields would go up. Like I said I have no problems with CFLs if used efficiently, and I use both HID and CFL to grow. Hell CFLs are a godsend for me in the summer but I really don't think the learning curve is there for a CFL section.

Those plants are nice BTW, what strain are they? Crystals for Christmas....lol

Yes I have posted about CFLs, newb and not newb I don't hate them. I just feel that people advertise them the wrong way they have their purpose. And nobody is being a dick persay, Humboldt knows that we agree to disagree..I know I am not taking it personally and Im sure hes not either, the whole point of this forum is to discuss stuff, disagreements happen...I'm not the one calling people dicks, lol. What is the purpose of a CFL only forum, I mean really. What is there that seperates them from other lights. And I'm not bragging about my set-up, I haven't even told you what I have. Relax man it's all good....it has nothing to do with being a newb or not, I have no problems with newbs and I think you will see that if you look through my post history, seriously.

I'll take a 1000w hid.. lol.j/k, thanks kindprincess, that's very kind of you, however I'm in no hurry to get a hid, I'm having way too much fun to let a hid spoil it, I will save it for when I'm bored.

Thanks buster for your support, most people here at rollitup are awesome people, however there are a few exceptions.

here's my beef.......

urban legend says HID's are big bulky and hot. maybe, years ago. they've come a long way. pretty small and efficient nowadays for what they are. there are a lot of false beliefs behind them.

then steps in CFL's. i think sometimes it becomes an easy way out. being stoners we can be lazy. i think if you save dup just a little more money, 2 sacks worth, and put forth some planning then you can better your grow.

i see a lot of people "settle" with CFL's.

Or post senseless shit, who needs it? you got a mh/hps good for you, pat yourself on the back or whatever makes that feather in your pocket wiggle but there's no need for wise cracks when we are all only trying to achieve the same thing regardless of the lighting and that is to grow POT!

On a finale note, people who put down or make wise cracks toward lighting other than mh/hps are losers in my book.

Exactly, its the way some people perceive CFLs and HIDs, people get the wrong idea. They don't compare both have plusses and minuses. But CFLs are one of the most inefficient ways to do a so called big grow. And I hate to see every new person think they are good for full grows, they are in certain situations. Why use 400 watts of CFL when it's spread and penetration aren't as good and the production is less. I mean if you are doing a stealth grow and you have more than say 400 watts its not really efficient to say the least. HIDs IMO are more deserving of their own forum, but like I said it's unfair and like dot said it causes divisions and confusion. General lighting is the only thing I would like to see.

Anyway why do people hate HIDs so much, why do CFL users get so mad when someone says HID. Also Humboldt dude once again not trying to be a dick actually trying to help you up the yield thats all. How many watts of CFLs do you have in there? How many plants? What size area?

Next thing we know we're going to be making a Lowryder only forum....I mean why do we nedd the CFL forum, everyone just calls us dicks and losers instead of just sayinf this is why we need a CFL forum now shut up Gygax...lol
