Hi there, long time skeptic, first time as a public AN hater;

You would be better off with a Toyota Camry.
If you keep getting advice from AN you'll end up broke. The reason they have so many products is to SELL THEM.

The hype machine is big, but Cannabis is just a plant, you don't need much of anything special to grow dankydank. For instance, use some well-amended soil and water only during veg, then throw in any respectable fertilizer with about a 1-3-2 ratio in flowering, then a bit of MKP (Monopotassium Phosphate) and MgSO4 (Epsom Salts) during the last half of flower, done deal.

Just like flushing your plants before harvest, AN is a pack of lies. I'll take my responses off the air.
Hey just wanted to know why your not a fan of AN I don't care one way or the other but as someone who currently is using their shit I'm curious. I recently started first hydro grow needed nutes and ended up with theirs. Saw you use jacks I also use jacks but in my soil grows. Just happened across jacks also but more I grow more thought I out into what I'm doing so wondering if there is something j should know about AN. Thanks

Because they sell a jug of watery Epsom Salts with a touch of Chitosan for $99, and they are not very transparent about their ingredients. I just think they are too expensive, and that's a personal judgment. They are fleecing people who are growing money, not fleecing poor people. I guess it is OK to gouge people in an artificially-inflated (because of legal status) market, in the mind of their owners, but I don't care for it, and I feel their products perpetuate a lot of the common myths about growing cannabis, due to their lack of transparency. I say that, but I think the basic GH line are pretty good products, so I'm a little bit of a hypocrite, I accept that. AN are not alone, there are competitors of theirs who do the same things, but AN feels the most blatant about it, to me.

house and garden, canna, hesi, dutch pro, advanced, bcuzz you name it
its all a complete rip off, i laugh at my friend when he spend all that on water and then dumps his tanks, or he is low on money and is going crazy cause he needs a booster.

dont get me wrong canna is nice juice

but my friend is scared to use anything that requires a little extra thought, hell i would show him but then if he fucks it up you guess it i will get the blame :)

No problem, my pleasure. Thanks for asking.
Always curious about what nutes people are using cu I wonder what the difference between companies products is and if people get great results from one or the other. I really want to make my own to save $ but not sure how to go about it. Also I've gotten a few good deals on Amazon For AN and Jacks. I know alot of people say AN is over priced or expensive AF I haven't really compared all the brands but if it the 3 part base Nute in use and think I spent about $59 and it lasted me for entire grow with some left over. So to me that wasn't too bad but we all got our own opinion of exoensive I guess

at the rate you use AN 59 dollors is not expensive
Amazon had package deal with the 3 Nutes (GMB) which lasted my 4 DWC buckets until harvest. I was just on Amazon actually i buying a container of jacks all purpose$9.99 shipped to my door. Can't beat it since I'm out in the Boonies and aren't any hydroponic shops near me.
The level of customer service I've gotten from AN has been Rad I don't know What other brands are like but is be surprised if they were as cool. I always talk wih same dude and he knows his shit about growing weed an talks openly about it uwhich I doubt some companies would do. That's why I was so curious about your disliking them. Truthfully though I have no idea what's in the jugs could be water and food coloring. I do know my plants have had no deficiencys or issues.

ye its dye, to indicate which product you are using. can be made any colour what ever you fancy
hay no you, got me wrong, dislike it good stuff if and here's the big if you are happy paying for the bottles.

plus it extra trip to shops and stuff. when you mix you own fert from salt you save a lot of money, also you probably rarely at a hydro shop. when i go to the hydro shop some one always doing the hard sale, and i dont need new wheels

All this nutrient talk has really got me thinking about trying to make my own. Thought I'd share a link to thread I started about the subject incase you have any interest or wanna contribute.

I mean, theres no doubt AN will get the job done there is just nothing "Advanced" about them besides their flashy labeling and clever marketing tactics.

You're mostly paying for water, with a lil bit of npk diluted in there.

hi pat hope this helps you on your journey

measure tap ec/ppm just to get an idea

i add 1 kg of cal nitrate ten ltr water i mix 20ltr batch at a time
for flower basic peters or jacks feed 1.5kg to 10 ltr of water again i make 20 ltr batches

map 1kg to 10 lts water
mkp 1kg to 10 lts

super k same

and if you want t make some sort macro element then you can work it out, it will be close i think to 1.5kg to 10ltrs?
i have not worked it out complete but i have been using a macro element it similar to hesi supervit, but my version is better, or thats what i think anyway just opinion

strictly hydro

also i might add to be honest it not make much difference, you base solution, it about what you tank is and what you setting are and how you plant respond.

what ec do you normally work with with your an?

i do use epsom salt some times, however since i started making a macro element mix i have not required to use the epsom salt at all, i also have to say there was a beautiful color in the plants

Well ppm fluctuates throughout the grow it maxes out at like 1500ppm then slowly taper it down throughout flowering to about 500 before harvesting. And thanks for sharing what you do
