Advanced Nutrients - Organic Soil, Input?

FF is kinda what I was thinking, I was hoping to go 100% organic. Last grow I just used shultz african violet formula, it seemed to do ok, I never burned them, but they could have been alot bulkier.

Is that made by botanicare, or does it just look exactly like botanicare...

I noticed they had humex, fulvex... And seaweed, lots of beneficials... Is it a good product?

I would like to stay as organic as possible. Do you guys have a good suggestion on what you would use for the full grow. Also, what feeding chart would you use for it. I would like to run a base nutrient and just a couple of add-on's to really pump up the plants. The lime will serve in place of cal-mag I would imagine. I am definitely going to get a seaweed based silica solution so I can use that as a pH up as well. Didn't you guys say that lime also raises pH? If you guys have a good suggestion for a base nutrient and two or three other good nutrients to go along with the silica I would appreciate it!

You know the point where it's hard to keep your eyes open and stay awake, I'm there man :?

I'll check back tomorrow, but right now I'm thinking;

Iguana Juice
Big Bud
Voodoo Juice
Silica
Molasses (sweet leaf)
Carbo load

Maybe;

Overdrive (not organic)
Mother earth tea
Pirahna
Tarantula

Thanks for the tips fellas.

Just wondering how much you guys spend on nutes all together for a cycle, say 20 average plants ? How long do these bottles last for you. I mean does the extra bud you get even justify the price these guys are getting ?

I was reading that FDDTOBLK post about how it's all bullshit and the nute companies are all a scam for the most part. Are we all being suckered into buying things we don't need ?

Well, as far as cost of nutrients, Advanced is only slightly more expensive, if you're adding every beneficial, and DrHornby product, then you're gonna have to spend some cash, but you'll get the highest THC% possible.

You really could just use Iguana Juice as your base nutrient, and Big Bud as your soluble, and it'll cost hardly anything at all. It's all the extras that cost the dough, but if you're getting a 1000% return, then why worry about cost, go for the best yield, taste, aroma etc. I find AN is where it's at, but I'm giving FF a try by comparison.

That's what i was thinking, I like to keep it simple. I'm see your point too. I going to try the AN auto release in May, gorilla style, no one's seemed to try it from what I see, maybe I'll use it on half of the plots and nothing but a medium mix and water on some and compare the outcome.

MrHowardMarks, not the real one ;) lol i was hoping for a moment of your time. I read a few pages back u and ponics talking about Big Bud from Advanced Nutrients. I run AN 3part. GMB 1-1-1 so far, 7 days into flowering. I also have Liquid carbo load on the side, i almost bought big bud but they talked me into carbo load, would big bud still make a difference if i added that to the 4 i have already? kinda hard question to ask of you but id appreciate any help i can get. peace

Oh hell yeah, Big Bud is definately worth the 20 bucks... Completely different product than carbo load...

Carboload- sugar, carbs

Big Bud- High phosphorous and potassium bloom booster.

In comparison to FF, big bud is most likely like Beastie Budz... Packs on calyxes during weeks 2-4...

But yeah, definately get the big bud... Best product bar none.

BobMarley- Yeah, I used the AN granular time released ferts on some tomatoes and pumpkins... Let me tell you, they were freaking enormous.

Don't know about other plants, but pumpkins and tomatoes love the shit.

I got the smaller containers, (i think 16oz) for free with a huge nutrient purchase...

Thanks. Looks like it could be the ticket for gorilla, we'll see soon, got 5 feet of snow here now so it's going to be awhile, but I can still dream about it untill then.:)

alright u sold me, when my hydro shop opens up on Tuesday ill have to pay a visit for big bud hope im not too late week 2 starts tomorrow :D thanks for your help man

Nope you're not too late, you're supposed to start using it when flower sets start, sometime in week 2, and use it through week 4... Good luck man :bigjoint:

I've heard people say they almost doubled their bud size with big bud... I'd say it's more around a 15% yield increase.

Pure blend pro is made by botanicare just to let you know and i have had great success but I know Advanced produces great buds so its up to you.

I though pure blend looked an awful lot like botanicare...

Yeah carboload increases weight, it also is food for microbes in the soil, continue to use it, I doubt you'll ever run out...

You might want to get a liter of silica too... Barricade is AN's version, but there are cheaper products from other companies.

It increases cellular structure, and is a catalyst for feeding, it help your plant eat, and makes the stems/branches strong as hell.

It's also high pH, like a pH up, good for soil buffering.
