Aerogarden club

Hey guys, I just ordered a new Aerogarden 6 Elite+. They say it is a 30% better growth than older versions. It extends 2 feet with better light bulbs. I also purchased the 6 pod Master Delux Kit to use my own seeds.

This version does not use the same method of the tubes, and pumps. I was wondering if anyone has the new Aerogarden because I'm wondering what setting to use and how much light it actually needs when I start out.

The 6 pod and newer version I suspect will react different to the seeds than the 7 pod older onesdo. Any feedback at all would be great.

Thanks

...smoke a bowl and just read man. the very worst thing that'll happen is you actually learn a great deal about botany and various growing methods

Now what fun would that be?

just emailed aerogrow on a tip from another user with an AG classic. he had a problem with his base/res. and since AG doesn't make the classic anymore, they sent him a brand new base/res, but it was a Pro 100 since that's the next comparable model! i'm going to see if they'll do the same for me. if so, freebie upgrade! :) just thought i'd let ya'll know :)

OK, I've read this whole thread, and the couple of plants I've started in my Aerogarden are just barely sprouting (hasn't even been a week yet). I know I SHOULD get some proper nutes, but I do have 2 quick questions for anyone that's just used the Aerogarden nutes:

1. I got the herb seed kit with my aero - are the nutes the same as any other kit, or are these not going to be strong enough since they're meant for basil and oregano?

2. I added the 2 'starter' tablets right away - did I screw up? Or are those nutes lesser-strength and won't hurt? 2 of my 3 plants seem to be doing pretty good, so I'm hopeful that it's ok.

Also, since I've really only got the 2 plants, I've started geminating some more seeds to see if I can't get a couple more going - starting them a week behind the others isn't going to hurt, is it? Thanks.

People say not to use tablets until 4 weeks in. I'm just starting my own Aero my self. I wouldn't start another batch, it will mess up the growth once you have to change the height of the lights, but only a week behind shouldent do much.

Thats what i have been using the whole time- no probs

I have always started with 2 smalls or 1 big the whole time (except flushing)
that means even BEFORE they have roots

not as long as you can keep the lights right on them, get some extra cfl's you will be happy you did:joint:

3 bagseeds. 8 weeks old. starting week 5 of 12/12 today. started with the original aerogarden lights. vegged under 250 watt MH. Some 400 watt MH. Most of the flowering has been under 400 watt HPS (in a 3x3 with a bunch of other girls). can't say its been all aerogarden, but she's still in the original chasis with an airstone added to keep it bubbley. do I get to be in the club? lol
