Aeroponic System

I'm posting these as an example for anyone looking to build a large scale Aeroponic sys. I had posted regarding another system built by a member and said I would try and post up... these arent the greatest pics as they lack
"substance" lol.. but maybe they can feed another persons idea.

I have seen many questions about flowering with aero and this and that.. the bottom line is Aero beats drip, ebb, and dirt hands down IMHO. There are some masterful growers that would disagree, but ME.. I always come running back. The bottom line is the finer the water particle the better the root oxygenation.

Explosive growth, very abnormal plant size in every way. Stalk thickness, root mass, and most importantly size and qty of blooms. Regardless of what your growing.. I personally even feel it cuts back on Nutri useage and allows for more percise tweaking when trying new products.

This system has a 1200 gph pump, 20-25 micro jet spray heads, the top is B/W poly over 5/8" pink siding foam board. I prefer a 40Gal res min.

Regrets:
I to this day havent bought a low profile panda res and cut 12-18 off the frickn stand height.

I have spent good money after bad trying other systems....

Peace

it seems like after a few months that entire tray would be completely full of roots. is that not a prob?

i wouldn't think it would be as long as the sprayers can still spray but nice set up and the pictures arent that bad it give us the basic set up of it... and i could build that no problem i might even try it.. only question is whats the top of the tray made of?

I love aeo myself its the best way to grow hands down.I like this type of setup also. They actually make snap tigh tops for these tables in 4x4,4x6,and 4x8.you cut the size pot holes you want in them and they are raise about 6 inches increasing root zone room cost about $100 for a 4x8 top.If you watch seemorebuds this is a similar take on the how to get 15 lbs in 80 days just a different misting system.

Fletch I ask you do you think these would work for sprayers? Aero Mist .012 Misting Nozzle (6 Pieces) - 52411 at The Home Depot seems like it would be a good solution. Just need an expert opinion on the matter. you said the finer the mist the more oxygenated, so the idea is to g et the finest mist possible, right? also, does that make for easier clogging? i am a noob and i am very interested in aero, it just seems delicate and i would not want to screw things up

the top is B/W poly over 5/8" pink siding foam board, but the above option sounds nice too. I would want a couple for easy change out of plant configuration.

The roots dont fill the tub like you would think. they become a mat and flatten out. i always lift the lid every few weks to check for obstructions and keeping an eye on spray performance and even watching for root discoloration.

and yes the jets are more easily clogged the finer the mist.. but always use a filter bag in this setup... trust me, its worth the $13 and beats the hellouta changing out nozzles.

Those will work they are similar to the kind you see in the grocery stores.I havent used them in a big setup but have tried them on a small 2 mister setup. They do make a nice mist but do cost alot more. I was looking at those I cant tell if there are 6 heads in a pack for the $14.95 or if you have to order minimum of 6 at $14.95 each.I will go to home depot tomarrow and do some further reseach and see what kind of need these would have to have to work full on,.And yes the finer the mist the easier to clog thats why a filter bag or inline 200 micron filter should be used and not powders or organic nutes or additives.

well Fletch if you ordered those heads, please please let me know how they work. It sounds like it would create a nice mist, but you are right I do not know if it is 6 for 15 or 15 a piece. Just wondering how to create the best mist possible for super oxygenated water
