thanks tree. bubblegum plants are the ones with the funky twisted fan leaves. strain seems to do that. i've seen a couple other guys grow it and it comes out looking the same. she likes to get bent out of shape. LOL. amnesia haze also going.

sounds good you seem to always pick some real good strains to grow. o shit i almost forgot. have you ever used sensizym? i called the discount advanced nutrient website yesterday and they were raving about it and said you shouldnt grow without it. he only recommended 2 products big bud and sensizym

yea, i've used it for a while now in soil and hydro. i used to use hygrozyme but sensizym runs a lot cleaner and causes less problems.

what noticable difference are you seeing from your plants when using sensizym? will it increase yield?
more so in soil as it will break down unused nutrients and dead roots. i use it cause it also allows the roots to stay cleaner and absorb nutrients better. you won't see a yield difference. just easier to run healthy plants when the root zone is healthy.

hmmm so in aero you think i should just not spend the money on it?

i would go for it in hydro as well. some of the reasons are different but any hydro setup should have a "zyme" additive in my opinion. keeping the roots clean and healthy is more important in a hydro setup; especially bare root like aero. also helps reduce the chances of getting slime/algae in your reservoir. some of the same reasons guys are brewing beneficial teas for hydro reservoirs.

sounds good i think im gonna try it out thanks

after skimming through the thread I think I am going to have to try A.N I have heard mixed opinions so I need to see for myself. So far I have used G.H flora nova + feeding chart, B.C Technaflora + feeding chart, D.G + feeding chard, D.G and my own feeding chart which has giving me the best result so far. G.H flora nova had huge yields but alot of times would lose plants in dwc to root problems because of the mucky mix. Technaflora kept my plants very happy w/ no deficiencies at anytime but the yield just was not what I was use to. D.G and feeding chart yellowed leaves and didnt seem to have to same density I was use to. My D.G custom mix w/ calmag plus and kool bloom seem to be working well but have not made a pull yet w/ the formula. Next in line will sure to be A.N two part.

think I should try connoisseur or the sensi? Is sensi mucky thick and dark? Or is it thin and colored or clear? I just dont like using thick mucky or dark nutes in my dwc that was the whole reason I wanted to try d.g... I am torn between trying aqua flakes or advanced next. Any input?

ive never tried connoisseur before but im guessing its a better idea to maybe start out with the sensi 2 part. the connoisseur is supposed to be some very strong stuff and it could take a little while to dial it in. me myself im dialing in the sensi first before i try it out. the sensi seems like regular liquid to me when i use it the a is dark and the b is clear. im having no problem with it in aeroponics and thats combined with big bud, nirvana, bud candy, and silica

Well after a day of research I am now leaning towards their connoisseur. Just the reviews that sold me. I am guessing I will try the grand master grow. (Bud ignitor, Rhino skin, &bud factor.) Personally Id rather big bug and bud candy then bud ignitor & bud factor but I suppose they are left out of the grand master feeding for a reason..Or maby im to blasted and am misreading the chart. Am I right or wrong with the feeding chart? If your grand master are you suppose to use all the sht above it also like hobbyist through pro additives also or just the grand master additives. If Your suppose to use them all I will just go with the big bud, bud candy, and rhino skin. Not that I feel I am a master but I have had some large pulls of small plants in my day.. I just want the best quality I can get. With the price the flowers go for I am not worried about a little extra $ if it will increase harvest, totally worth it imo.

I also want to say on a different note that the dyna gro formula I used DID NOT grow as large or dense of flowers as my flora nova did and with certain strains (more sensitive ones) the flowers were so small late in bloom I tried to amp up the ppm and just ended up with burn. It was prob lockout from to much (P) though. I also remember reading somewhere that D.G has around 30% less mag or cal then G.H flora nova...could explain the smaller than usual yields. My Technaflora plants leaves always stood reaching for the light. They looked great. I never have seen this with D.G. A.N site specificly says cannabis likes more potassium (K) not phosphorus (P). I have read a few books that say cannabis preferres something like a 1-3-2 ratio but a.n says otherwise. They say they have done scientific cannabis plant tissue studys to test it and it they also say their formula is specificly for cannabis. I guess they got me with their marketing but if the sht is junk I wont come back and guarentee to let everyone else know. Really imo if they were marketing ploy they wouldnt just target cannabis growers because the weed labels and sort would chase off all the other growers that would potentially use it for something else. I dought there is many people growing veggies with advanced nutrients for the simple reason of their labels. I dunno just what i was thinking...I have also read a article in some magazine where people did comparison grows and a.n out preformed. Also some youtube video where it beates 5 other companys. although technaflora & H&G were not in that test the amount a.n surpassed the others by im sure it would be close to the other reputable companys if not the best. But they do have a 100% $ back guarentee so what you got to lose....if I dont like it for any reason I will be sure to send it back for a full refund :-)

sorry to chime in but i'm pretty sure you are reading that chart wrong. the grand master will come with EVERYTHING you see there. big bud and bud candy are not left out. it just build on the previous level. so the "professional" level will have everything BUT bud ignitor, rhino skin, and bud factor x. i don't mean to be presumptious but it sounds like you are a relatively new grower. i wouldn't go with the grand master or even the professional level. try the expert level at best. the thing is that every strain and environment is different and your plants will require different nutrients, additives, and boosters. they key is to tweak your strains nutes over a few harvests. adding all that at once will only cause problems. really, i would just suggest you use the 2 part base nute and try a few additive depending on if you are i soil or hydro.

don't count on getting your money back from AN if you aren't happy with your nutrients. that probablly won't happen. good luck. let me know if you need anything.

yea I figured that. With that being said I wont go past expert. Like I said I def not a grand master but not a noob about 5 yrs perpetual cycle so far. I am just always wanting to try everything new because I am newer and need to find what works best for me and my environment. I def would never add all that crap at once. I rainbow my ppm through bloom. Also I would never use tarantula, nirvana, piranha or sensizyme. If I added a enzyme is would be h&g multizen I have tried all the enzymes and from my experience they have the best. Would never use the bennies because I just do the heis myco brew it way cheaper and seems to be more effective.

Adding a 2part base w/ a few simple additives is what I currently do. I use d.g bloom w/ gro 50/50 w/ some kool bloom in peak flower and calmag supplement whole way and sweet or sugardaaddy + floralicious plus about week 3 or 4 to flush. I also have been dabbiling with dark energy at a tsp per 7 gal res because that stuff scares me. And have some snowstorm and gravity but I only use them a couple times later in flower also. I blasted some early flowering plants with recommended dose on the bottle of dark energy and it caused certain strains to herm. Damn feminized seeds. That a whole other discussion though and am on the verge of switching to reg. for more stable strains. I am going to try to find out for my self after this post but what nutes do you run scooby and how long have you been doing your thing? Also any pics to add credibility to your opinions?

I also use d.g silica all the time

I dunno I could still go with H&G I am so indecisive and last min all the time. I already have bud xl and multizen I would only need aquaflakes and a couple other things. I would be alot cheaper than trying advanced.. frik I gotta go smoke and chill my hamster. Darn brain wont stop.

i've been doing this for almost 13 years. i currently have a large hydro setup going and i also have a soil grow i mess around with here at my house. i've done side by side comparison grows with almost all the nute companies out there. in hydro, no one stacks up to advanced in my opinion. i've tried almost all of their additives and i still tinker with things all the time. that's just cause i get bored. depending on the strain though i don't really see a need for more than 1 veg additives and maybe 3-5 bloom additives. i don't brew teas in hydro but that may change. i just started running them in soil. i use a humisoil tea with a tea additive in soil and H&G's soil 2 part nute. feed, tea, feed, tea schedule. it seems to be working great so far and i'm pleased with the results.

as for pics, feel free to check out the last 10 pages or so of this thread (including this page) or the gardening thread in my journal. it has some pics of my soil grows. i don't post pics of my hydro setup cause it's a larger op and i don't feel comfortable posting pics from it on this forum. as for my reputation. feel free to ask around. i'm sure Tree King will tell ya.

good luck.
