I started my first grow in january this year. I bought some wicked cheap china LEDs and everyone told me it wouldnt work. I invested $300 in a 2×4 grow tent 6 plants 2 lights and all the fixins. And i ended up with about 8 oz of very nice medicine. Im sure HIDs would have gave me more product. But i went cheap because thats what i wanted. And i had a blast doing it. I guess it is just all up to what you want as an end result. Now with "some" experience i will slowly upgrade and before its over im sure i will try it all.. just depends on what you want out of it i guess.

For anyone saying this AGLEX isn't worth the 250 it costs hasn't used it. I do agree there are better lights which are around triple the cost. For anyone just getting started this light works great. Here are my plants at almost end of week 6. The spectrum isn't as solid as a HLG or others out there but will do for entire grow if it is all you have. To many people get hung up telling others what is best for them. After this grow I will be investing in another light which will be HLG. Why? Because I will be able to afford it later.

You from Edmonton?

I run 6 2000w aglex cov leds in that room
How has the flavour profile turned out like. This light has the correct spectrums albeit not as high as some higher quality lights. I am looking hard at the HLG 550 for 900 canadian. I know a few people with them and the quality/quantity is amazing. This light has shown me nothing short of aggressive growth at every junction.

This thread is just more proof that this hobby/business is filled with elitist attitudes. It’s obvious that any half decent light can grow good cannabis. But sadly many believe that unless you’re doing what they are the doing and using what they are using then your just producing crap.
It’s the same with the new wave of “organics” people. If you grow in anything but organic water only soil then your producing crap.

Just keep doing what your doing and as long as you enjoy the end product then who cares what others say.

I grew buds the size of beer cans using cfls and homemade ballasts using duct work, hangers, power cords and 300 watt equivalents. I had 6 in two ballasts. Was it Aaaa+? No. Did it get you stoned and make good hash and edibles, yes. For the 6 dollars or something a month for lights it was worth the effort. Few Ounces. Looking forward to seeing what kind of flavour profile comes out on these 4.

I have just started using a Aglex k2000 in my tent. I am only in veg but the kids seem to like the light. I have another due Tues. I plan on having 3 of them in my 5x6 tent for flowering.

As I said before there are better lights for higher price but with this light I got close to a pound out of a 4 x 4 tent. The quality is there, flavours, high, etc. Would I prefer an HLG? ABSOLUTELY. But if all you got is 300 its works well.

Sounds Awesome!
Many seasoned growers run into a number of problems the 1st time growing with LED while adjusting to it.
What problems or LED deficiencies if any did you run into that were different from your previous grows?
Sold my Aglex 2000 and now running SF4000 and an SP250 I yielded 1036 grams on all,LED lights have come a long ways in two years
