Nirvana Papaya, Bubblelicious, and Haze #1. I messed up with the ones in the smaller pots and forgot to label what they were so I have 2 of each strain in the tent except for one of them (not sure which is which except for the big pot ones). The bigger pots are 2 gallons and the smaller ones are .8 gallons. They spent their first 12 days in a PC grow box with 4 24w 6500k CFLs, and then the last 5.5 days under a 400w Hortilux Super HPS. At the end of the month I will be buying a Spectra 240w LED from www.growledhydro.com (website is out of date but they make great products with proof in the pudding over in Irishboys grows at 420magazine). I may also buy a 2nd such light if the temps are still low enough.

PS/UPDATE: At first I was watering these every other day, but then with the last watering I went 2 days without watering and although (atleast) the first inch or 2 of soil was pretty dry the soil at the bottom of the pots was still damp (I checked by lifting pots and looking at the bottom. They didn't appear to suffer from dehydration with not being watered for about 3 days. I also didn't add anything to the bottom of the pots to keep dirt from falling out, which doesn't appear to be a problem unless you get too much runoff (but some may want to layt something down there if they are really anal about having perlite and bits of dirt on the floor).

How often are you guys finding you need to water your air pots?

what are those pots all about? air pruning i can imagine, but does that wild shape help the medium in any way?
The pots are made of recycled plastic and have a special cone shaping to help guide roots. The roots hit a wall and are guided towards the air holes which then prune the end of the root sending a special signal to the stalk. The stalk goes hey well it won't go in that direction anymore so lets grow some more roots out of that one going in other directions (while with more normal pots the root would just circle around not doing a whole lot of good). They also have adjustable bottoms (a round plastic grill can be moved to differen't levels if one pleases) and you don't have to worry about sliding your plants out of them while transplanting because they actually unravel (the 2 green screws hold each end of the pot together). The material can actually snap into itself, but you should have 2 screws anyway to help make sure it won't pop apart after awhile. The air holes also help oxygenate the soil helping the roots and micro germies to breathe a bit better. A lot of growers are claiming that they are growing plants as quickly in soil with these pots as they are growing plants in hydro set ups.

radical. geo pots have similiar qualities, and just velcro down the side for easy transplanting. plus the store around the corner carries them, so i'll go with those.

Be sure and shop around before you order them. When I bought mine a year ago there was only 1 website selling them in the USA (besides ebay) so you should look around for a good deal. I bought mine at www.growers-inc.com

Hey there,
I just joined up today and posted in the General Marijuana Growing Forum about my Kushberry grow using Air Pots. You should read it. I LOVE these pots!!! Can't say enough good things about them. I'm an old time grower and these are the best thing to happen to MJ growing in a while. You should definitely give them a try.

Bamboo sticks through pot of LST (also use the screws :P ). I feel .8 gallon airpots are the perfect size for 12/12 from seed nothing but water or most auto strains or SOG of 1 month vegged plants (they will need nute feed though even with a super soil). I gotta give each of these plants 24-32oz of water each day!
