Alaska. 907. The last frontier. Who lives there? Who been there? Who wants to go?

On the water, but not in Ketch.
You have to go to Ketchikan and get your hands on some Mud Bight Delight! That strain has been going around ketchikan for generations my grandparents used to smoke it! I've been to countless dispensaries in Cali and have yet to even find anyone who's heard of it off the island!

I've been to Ketch multiple times and have not heard of the strain, however I lay very low when away from home (especially when on a job) and tend to simply have a few drinks @ the hotel bar & puff on my own in the room.
Under the radar and all.

If you go back you have to try and get some and then you have to go to the pioneer pantry for their biscuits and gravy!

Just did some brief reading about him and I would have to say the wilderness in Alaska doesn't fuck around and is very unforgiving.

I want to hear the harsh criticisms. I didn't feel his movie had any substance to it......Some kid rips up his credit cards, decides to tramp around the country, ends up in Alaska and lives in a bus where he starves.

I didn't get any inspiration. Maybe the movie sucked (it has good ratings) but to me there was nothing inspiring about that guy at all, yet the movie tried to make it seem like some fucking spiritual journey or some shit like you go up to Alaska and "live with the wild"

Upon further reading just now the guy was a complete moron! No compass no gear nothing! Fucking pathetic. The guy walked off into the Alaskan wilderness with two sandwiches and a pair of boots. What a grade A fucking asshole not to mention that he put stupid ideas into ignorant mother fuckers heads. How many people heard about this and went a killed themselves in woods up there. This guy was stupid as fuck not brave at all!

AH HA stephanie you are THE MAN! for saying that lol. Yeah, unless you've lived here for 30 years like I have and grew up hunting, fishing, camping, etc.... you really have no idea what youre in for.

my 3 safety items: axe, lighters, gasoline.

I'll set a fuckin' forest on fire if I have to survive!

I initially thought it was cool as fuck I would love to live in the woods away from everybody else! But not like that! You can't run off in the woods unprepared that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. I mean the guy who dropped him off was begging him to go to town a get the right supplies. That is crazy. Completely stu[pid and it sets an awful example.

He was a dreamer, that in itself is not a death sentence, but when you believe you can screw up in the Alaskan wilderness & survive. The results are predictable and usually unfortunate.
Don't get me wrong, I've made plenty of mistakes - but his mistakes were fundamental & unrecoverable.

Yeah well, I live up the side of a mountain for a reason. So I can look down my nose at people and avoid floods and tsunamis... mainly the first one though.

Willow creek was WAY high out by my cabin. My buddies place was all over the anchorage daily news. It was crazy, little 7-8 foot wide willow creek turned into like.. 30 feet. ill post a pic.
