hehe just got my MCSE 2 months ago. Don't really do computer work anymore though, but still a nice little card to hang onto
Gratz dude I know what its like to study for that.
I am moving on to Network credentials now being I don't want to count beans forever.
Unless they are the beans we plant of course. lol

lmao no doubt man! That test was probably one of the trickiest tests I've ever taken. Failed it the first time but passed it by the skin of my teeth the second time. I don't even want to think of the weeks of reading I had to do for that damn test lol. Anyways heres a morning joint for ya :joint:

Sup tool how ya doing. Whats that test ya'll are talking about ?
Microsoft System Engineer/Administrator Certification
:)

Well I decided to FIM tonight after work.
I will only be doing a few of the girls to gauge the effect as compared to the others that were not cut.
Wish me luck, there will be pictures.

lmfao, ya ? Atleast ur confident.. I didnt even know anything about a contest my man. Anyway how do u take that test? U gotta go to school for it?Good luck wit ur fimming. You might wanna reread how to do it just incase. Myself included accidently topped mine, as well as another friend of mine I noticed.. I tried it on ym bush, waiting for the correct growth back tho. IF you see those 2 stems shooting up, u messed up lol

Yeah, I never heard of the FIM technique until I read it about here.
I will re-read it for sure! If I mess up then at least I will have "topped" them which is what I would have done had I not heard about FIM.

Ok after reading a LOT about leafing, LST, and Fimming/topping I decided to not cut them. lol
weighed the pros and cons and anything that will produce any stress is something I am against for this grow.
(more girls please)
I did tie a few leaves back with zip ties to better expose the lower branches to more light.
Here are the two I did so far and even tho it is hard to see the zip ties and tied back leaves you get a nice look at the undergrowth I exposed.
I will do a before and after next time I do this, I was just winging it and so didn't think of it this time.
I will continue to do this as necessary. No 1 and 4 are on 3rd set of leaves on branches and No 5 is on 5th set.
Really starting to pump up some. Gained almost an inch over night today (while lights were off)

Small room fan (on high, facing plants, timed off / on every 30 mins.)

Water Conditions:

30.0ML FLORABLEND ™Vegan Compost Tea
2 Tsp Epsom Salt
10.0ML PyroSol™ Silicate Clay

Foliar Spray:
None used

Notes:
When I visit after lights come on everyone is reaching

When I visit to take readings at 5-6am everyone is droopy
(this is shortly after room vent goes back on)
RT is just going down at this time so it could be heat but its really not that hot
Nute burn has stopped
Growing faster it seems, included measurement photos in this report
Overall happy with progress, starting to wonder when I will reach goals to start flowering
(12” is goal) now at 7 with about 1/2 “ daily growth.
Maybe another two weeks or less. Yay!

Slight accident this morning
When measuring PPM/PH I removed No2 and sat on reservoir.
Accidentally fell over spilling Hydroton all over.
Plant itself unharmed and didn’t even seem to move
Gathered all “clean” Hydroton and put back into pot.
No damage but a pain in the ass to gather little balls first thing in the morning, lol.

Images:
1/7- day 26 6:00(AM)
8- overview
9- Stem Thickness on No4
10- branch close-up on No 3
11- height on No 2 (almost 7”)

Not much news, growing steady at about 1/2" daily.
PH in Reservoir constantly rises. I read thats normal but every 24 hr period it goes up about .9
I will do my best to keep it down but it seems to me thats a LOT of chemicals to be adding every day.
Plants seem unaffected so I'm not worried but is this actually normal?
The main stems on the larger kids are showing some serious girth
about the diameter of a No 2 pencil now and plant only about 6 1/2" tall.
Side Note:
Changing the Reservoir every week is a pain and it does waste nutes
but the bright side is my garden plants outdoors love the waste!
Especially the yellow squash plants that are getting huge from it.
Enjoy todays photos.

looking phenomenal alt0.
ive been doing my fair share of reading in peer review journals. the acidity rise you're seeing is completely normal. if you dont want to add so much ph down you could go to a home depot and grab a bag of limestone. wash the stones off first to make sure excess powder doesnt get mixed in with the nute solution. the limestone will add a bit more calcium to your solution but will also naturally keep the ph down. a buddy of mine did it and it worked great. if you decide to go this route, add the stones to your res tank about a handful a day. if you add to much, you could shock this plants and drastically change the ph. so add a few limestones, give it an hour and check the ph, then add some the next morning after you have checked the ph again.

Cool, thanks a bunch I will look into that more.
For anyone else having this problem PH up is more alkaline and I add acid to bring it down. (PH DOWN)
I knew what you meant.
Thanks again, that [limestone rocks] sounds like less work, even if it might end up less accurate.
I have also been thinking about getting a submersible pump and dropping it in the reservoir to keep it mixed up better.
Questions:
1- do these small pumps give off heat that will raise the temps of the res?
2- do the air stones circulate the mix enough and am I just worrying about nothing? The air stones do bubble a LOT and seem to circulate the fluid well, I just want my babies to have the best possible conditions for what I have already going.
Thanks asf2j more rep bro

Well mine seem to have started to grow vertically again, last time a checked (a day or two ago) They were just 8inches and just now theyre both 9. So i think they'll be twelve inches in a week or so. May well have a race to the end :P

oh goodness, i see i said that backwards now. the acid isnt whats going up, its the base. my bad. well the limestone should do it. what it will do in the solution is create a ph buffered solution that resists change. a base(CO3) with its conjugate acid(HCO3) in a salt form(CaCO3-limstone) will naturally keep that ph at a constant.
sorry for the mix up.

NP with all you know I assumed it was a booboo:mrgreen:

Well I checked in after work and damn!
I got another 1/2 inch today
Guess I have things balanced out OK eh?
Well No 2 is at 7 inches now and everyone else is keeping up
and just slightly behind.
I think that No 2's genetics are responsible for the lead its holding being it is no where near as healthy as most of the others.
I d
held my hand under the light (closer than the tops) and its not at all hot there and the fan was off
so I decided to not raise the light any for now.
Its at 11 inches from tops.
Sure smells good in there :weed:

Hey all
Today I started to LST my babies and it worked out great
No breaks, in fact I could have gone further but there really was no need.
Take a look at the results
Then tomorrow notice how they will straighten back out.

IMAGES:

1 to 6 - LST just applied (no particular order)
(did not do No 7)
7- overall
