Hey guys i am wondering if anyone here has tried the company greenlamp, on amazon and ebay, if you have tried their led panels (the 180w,240w and 350w not the crap 14w disco lights) I'm researching for an led grow, and just want some feedback on people who have used their led panels. I have bought many cfl's from them and they are good and all, but there is so many people saying yes and no to leds, i just don't know what to do. One of my friend's has an led grow atm and his is working out pretty great.

Here they are - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Green-Lamp-ltd/LED-Grow-Panels-/_i.html?_fsub=2175401014

I'm only looking for the panels not ufo's. Thanks

You could make them that quality yourself.
I would not buy those, i don't grow with LED's ,but i know those who do buy quality , and that's not it.

Yeah man thanks, all the cfl's i have bought from them are great, and i don't want to fork out 500 quid for a 100 watter like i have seen in other places.

And i don't make electrical stuff myself, i had a friend when i was younger who got caught in a house fire, and man did that give me a good lesson on fire safety. At least i don't trust myself, yet.

- ohh and i heard all of these leds come from china even the expensive ones, so would there be any real difference, i found another panel a few weeks ago looked the exact same as the green lamp ones, except with someones elses name on it and 20 quid heavier on price.

Maybe consider using a 150w hps that you could pick up for 50-70 bucks, low on heat and power usage,
Whilst doing some more research on LED units,
just a thought....

Mmmmmm 2 A100s to replace my 2 BS240s. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO must...... be........ strong.

Help!
Yeah k of the u, lol Any one know if prakasa is a good company, i'm checking out some of their stuff, at least they actually tell you the real wattage in the title unlike most of the others i see.

hhmm those a100's do look tempting, how many plants do you think you could get under one of them, and 3 year warranty just makes it even better. I
Tough to say since I don't own an A100, (I have the A300 btw), and these are the newer models, but I would say 2 to 3 plants depending on height of the plants. These panels do have a bit more coverage than their last models.

It is best to know a bit before you purchase any LED so HPS is the smart choice for you, but regardless keep Vipar on your short list. Great panel for the money. LEDs will be here when you're ready. Right?

Yeah man, hps is the go to light, that's why i'm getting one. But for sure man ill keep the vipar on my shopping list, and get one when i am ready to take the leap. Could you get 9 plants easy under that A300? I Like a good topping and lst, as not to waste any light space. Also the electric price/heat is what im mainly looking at, and led's seem to have that cracked. I will probably end up busting out the money for the a300 in about 6 months, if not get the newest model. I dont want to breach the 500w mark though which is why im looking at led's in the first place.

9 plants would be tough IMO without some extra lighting. But an A300 + 2 or 3 A100s would rock 9 no problem.

Yeah man, just have to find out what works for you. I will try led's if the hps works better for me i will stay with it, but if led's smoke the hps i'm having a disco in my tent.
It annoys me all the controversial topics on hps vs led, both parties are stubborn lol, when i get my led i will do a side by side clone grow and see what happens.

I know right ,
they act like it's all personal like clothes or music taste or summit ,
i just want what works and run the cheapest versus initial outlay , that's really all i care about ,
i may add some discolights to my bloom room for entertainment...

Yeah man, i have heard people asking about led's then some people come along like "whhaaaaaa why would you try led hps is all i know" lol and even subcool said don't bother with led's, one of my freinds in real life got an led panel its insane how far ahead he is of me, and i started flowering 1 week before he even got the panel. He has trichomes all over the place, mine is now in 4 weeks of flower under cfl and his looks a week ahead of me(or two) when really he is a week behind

I know I'm late to the party on this thread but I just wanted to chime in about Greenlamp. I've done extensive research on LED's. I have years of experience with HID's both personal and commercial grows when I lived in San Diego. It seems all companies make the same claims.... They're better than everyone else. You have to sift through thread upon thread of opinions and very little fact based info. After all the research I've done.... I made the decision to go with Greenlamp. They use quality diodes, maunfuacture their own lights, have an amazing(from what I've read in reviews) 5 year warranty, and to top it off.... They are the only company I've found that has a trade in/ trade up program. You can also buy refurbs with a full factory warranty. I'm going with their DB6 for a cabinet. It's a refurb (only $400) and they're shipping it discreetly in 3 days from Canada for $25. If what I've read is true.... It's a no brainer.

Btw... I'm not in any way affiliated with Greenlamp. I'm just a grower who doesn't drink the kook-aid and does his research.

we are in the uk k of u also.......we did use a prakkasa unit for a few weeks that was lent to us, it ran quite hot so we then went for the plantphotonics unit, from valencia, its not the cheapest but only 70w electric and very little heat means we have it outside in a box inside a garden shed. we have posted some pics of our grow on here...we are very pleased with our light...one plant is amazing...flowers everywhere...we will post some new pics in a few days....
