It's all over the rss feeds. They want it to be a reality by 2015 but I doubt it would work. How many people would try to knock it out of the sky?

It's AMAZON they can do anything. LOL I seen that spot on 60 minutes. It might not be going to happen to soon but its coming. Hell 40 yrs ago would you have thought that Video phones would be as popular as they are today?

i should have researched before posting lol. of-course they're waiting on FAA rules so they'd be allowed to do this..also, about people shooting them outta the sky. that would be a serious federal offense. i think after the first person gets sentenced to 10 years for shooting one outta the sky a good enough example will have been made.
i'm honestly surprised technology is advancing at this rate. we live in the future lol.

I want to agree with you. However we all are aware how the current laws are followed. I know for a fact people down here will shoot at it. Hell I would be tempted to try to wing one! Now I know we have cloaking ability but for package delivery? I also know the pizza delivery guys might have a dog in this hunt LOL I must admit we live in some exciting times.

this is old news guys, and no joke. i would also be one to shoot them down. with the amout of companies wanting to put this idea to use, we would be looking at severe economic impact (LOTS of lost jobs, but new jobs for drone operators) as well as a clusterfuck in the skies above us.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the idea of drones flying me burgers. It's just they would be such an attractive nuisance. I mean how could you NOT shoot at one, just once. Although I must admit I never felt that way about helicopters. I'll have to think about this.

Animal rights groups are already using drones. And yes they are getting shot down. Hunters in colorado want to use drones for hunting. Poachers were caught when they shot down a D.E.C drone and recieved a heavy fine and sentence. (saw a pbs special on drones for that one) A military drone recently crashed into Lake Ontario.
