Dude, schools in poor areas are not equal to those in wealthier ones. Maybe you can point at districts with wealthy and poor areas where the schools are about the same. But entire districts especially in rural areas where the tax base is poor have poorly funded school systems.

Corporate socialism IS a problem, and that needs to end. We give trillions in tax breaks and subsidies to corporations, many of whom are incredibly profitable. Why do they need it and the average American citizen doesn't?

I don't advocate violent revolution, but the Framers of our Constitution installed two ways for amendments to be enacted; by the Congress and by the States.

I know it seems like a long shot, but I think it's necessary to end the tyranny if Citizens United.

If corporations weren't able to shovel vast sums of cash into our political system anymore, then perhaps politicians would be more responsible and responsive to We the People.

Poor parents can't even afford $4,000 per year to pay for schooling so in the scenario you list, their kids wouldn't get an education at all. My understanding is that Trump et al are pushing for making tax dollars available to private religious schools which would dilute the pool of money for all public schools. So what's left over might be 4,000 per year per student in all public schools. In other words, all public school funding would be bad. Meanwhile parents with the means will have to pay extra to private schools on top of tax dollars just to provide a decent education to their own.

Agreed. Let's extend socialized school through University. Let's extend socialism to healthcare for all.

Let's pay for it by removing subsidies from major corporations and outlawing corporate campaign funding- after all, most of those billions spent are currently TAX DEDUCTIBLE. In other words, We the People are subsidizing the wholesale corruption of our political and economic system.
