An Atheist Goes to Bible Study

Everything on this earth that is good is gods grace and everything bad is or own doing. You cult types really piss me off sometimes. There are ten different religious sects with in 20 minutes of my house. Which one should I pick. One god equals one religion. Unless god didn't know there was a whole world out there.

I respect what you say, but what you are also saying is that you and the people who think the same way as you do are also a cult and that you have all the right in the world to make fun us who do believe in a God and have a strong faith. that my friend, is not cool!!

Have you tried Atheism oly or Nam? Probably not, and never will because you have to keep the faith. See how this narrows your scope? Arguing one side is pointless unless you've tried both. It could be an eye-opening experience for you, much like it was for me when I was a kid.

As for the dog. I would kill it and bury it. Not torture it's soul for eternity.

I don't get together with other atheists every week and read fairy tales and worship charlatans. I live and let live. Take a man for a man. I can dislike and feel superior to who ever the hell I want.

And my religion does not teach torturing people for all eternity. Saying I am in a cult is ridiculous. There is no secrets, no closed doors. I am not shrouded in mystery. I have told you frank answers for what you have said and you continue to demonstrate your own narrow view of religions. I like how your story has changed and now you are out and out saying things that have no base.

You started your post with Witnesses telling you "People burn in hell".

You then admit they never said that.

Then you called what I practice a cult.

I can see trying to hold a logical conversation with you is about as beneficial as arguing with a Tuna sandwhich. You very quickly resorted to accusations and story changes and hurling at me an argument I have heard many many times before.

As for me being an Atheist no. I was not an Atheist. Do I understand Atheism? Absolutely. I have spent time doing personal research into all kinds of different beliefs and doctrines. Like previously stated I am not brainwashed, my mind is my own and I have formulated my own personal beliefs based on the information provided to me.

Religion is logical? That just can't be. Enlighten me this, what happens to the non believers in your religion?

Ok lets hear it, where is your mystery and wonder? Science? Is that all?

Personally I would rather live in a world filled with wonder, magic, and mystery (whether or not it is false) because that makes life interesting. Without my beliefs I would just be another person watching the days pass by limited on the entertainment, wonder, health, and protection only modern science can provide. To me thats boring

Sounds like you have a problem explaining your beliefs and thus resort to attacking people and their beliefs. It is amazing I have never met someone so adamant in their beliefs that couldn't explain them to anybody and resorted to attacking things he obviously doesn't understand.

We can't hear, see, touch, smell, or taste air but it is there. We can't hear, see, touch, taste or smell gravity but it is there. Just because you can't see, hear, touch, smell or taste God does not mean he does not exist. Their are still a lot of things modern science cannot explain but you take those based on faith. You cannot or will not explain your own beliefs, but you take them based on faith.
