No....you are simply describing the System of America, the Big Casino. They got over 2 million signed up, the President has grabbed the power to modulate the roll out. No one can stop him. And why describe the new system in terms of the old system. All that was already there.
Do you think heath care was perfect here? I don't. I have "conditions." I have a brother with serious heart problems who now can get reasonable coverage for his selfie, Construction work.
Knowing stuff is a responsibility in self rule. But, we shirk that, if we only watch the partisan news and choose, a lied to, side. All sides are lied to.

What concessions beenthere? repeal obamacare? a LAW that was sanctioned by the supreme court? Here is an example. The left wants the 2nd amendment ignored or repealed immediately, if the president and his side of the house and senate don't go through the motions, the left will shut down the government. Now tell me where there can be some "compromise". That, in essence is what happened.

Well, nothing wrong with the govt being shut down. That's the point. We are always rangling about how to cut back on spending. We even got an ill-managed sequester out of the deal, cut the wrong things. But, it did cut spending, until they all freaked that they couldn't spend money. So that is over. New Laws.
It is very simple. Cut back on laws that cause so much spending. But, do laws ever get repealed? Not usually.
Law is like a stack of Jinga Blocks. You never know which one will tump your pile. So they all sit there for lawyers to sort it out.

I was with you until the 2nd amendment part..That was written a very long time ago, so it is not a good comparison to Obama care..The right has a hard time voting for something that can bankrupt a country..The Dems don't seem to care that is why they vote and than read later..

The pubs wanted to not fund O'care, the dems did. A compromise would have been delaying the personal mandate which should be voted on. Instead, we shut down the gov, gave the delay anyway by executive order, and say it's all pubs fault.
I'd have to say it's a fault of a dysfunctional leadership on both sides, but then, that's kinda boring.

Shy, you and I can massively cut government spending if they let us run things and we make this compromise. Can the left stomache the cuts to social programs and can the right take cuts to defense spending.... We'll just piss everyone off and cut both.

There was an 11th hour attempt to avoid the shutdown. The deal was to delay the individual mandate for a year and was turned down by dems. Didn't an executive order happen that could have avoided the shut down had it been done earlier? Seems like politics to me. The dems knew that the simpletons would blame the pubs and hurt them in the perception department. Just because dems are better at the politics doesn't mean they weren't to blame.
The blustering and lead up to the shut down was mostly from the right, the shut down itself happened because the dems thought it politically prudent. Either you are too dense to realize it, or you just love this kind of politics and willfully perpetuate it.

But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Nigger, nigger."
