One of my close friends died last night around 11:30pm.. At age 23, he went off the road and was ejected out through the windsheild. This is the guy that I first smoked weed with in 7th grade.. We used to make all kinds of water bongs out of soda and juice bottles, and pipes out of brass fittings from the hardware store. We did a lot together though our growing years in middle school. Used to ride bikes all day every day... Just felt like getting it off my chest, but it didnt help

I feel ur pain. ~This happened to me in 2004 so I know what ur goin thru. I feel so sorry for his parents too. It's is usually the natural progression of life that the elderly go first, so it's the worst for parents of any age to go thru losing their child.

You're in shock right now and I hope ur around close family and friends. The shock will wear off as this news sinks in. Natural defense mechanism.

It's very sad when someone loses their life so young.

What I want to know is :- How many people have to die on one stretch of rd b4 the council/government fix it and make it safer? We have speed bumps, speed cameras etc. Chainsaws to cut down huge fucking deathtrap trees on bends in the rd. Nothing gets done.

at the beginning of my grade 12 year, one of my classmates died in a car accident, went through the windshield. we were a close bunch, only 29 in my graduating class. that was in 2003, i still think about him on a regular basis. but now i try to remember the good times.

try to remember the good times, i hope it provides a small amount of comfort to you. sorry for your loss. :(

i agree. i have a highway that leads from the city i live to the town my parents live in. i will not drive on that highway because soooo many people have died on it! i would take a crappier road to get there...

You're right - better to get there slowly than not at all. I have the exact same feeling about a huge rd here which is madness in the rush hour - plus I ride a bike. A crash helmet isn't enough so I take the back rds too !!
I see so many accidents and u hear so many ambulances around rush hr time - it's literally deadly.

Drive safely !!

Thanks. I will always remember all the times we shared. Most of my middle school memories were with him and our other friend.. We were crazy little boys lol, lighting stuff on fire and throwing snowballs at cars.. Building forts in the woods.. We used to play Halo and Need For Speed Underground on his XBox day in and day out... Shits crazy
