Yes, as wet as when runoff stopped basically.

is there anything suspicious looking in the perlite at the bottom of the dead ones? perlite at bottom this isn't out of the ordinary per se, it's just a point of interest. also what soil brand?

you mentioned brown spots i think didn't you? dude you have fusarium contamination in your soil, or, im thinking the perlite at the bottom gave fusarium a breeding ground and they just took over the plants root system.

I'll pull the rest out of the pot this afternoon and look for anything at the bottom in the perlite.

Yeah if that's what you saw you need to address what's causing the infection so it doesn't continue.

Yeah, it's probably on me. I have the bad habit of reusing soil so the medium is at least half reused soil mixed with new. No particular brand of soil. I usually buy whatever is in the garden center at home depot marked organic but not miracle grow. So now I have 100 gallons of soil to get rid of. My son has been trying to convince me to go with coco, maybe now is the time. All new fabric pots, grow medium.
Now the biggest question is will the 2 that are left make it? They look healthy now but the 2 that have already been infected looked good until they went down hill in 48 hrs.
Also, I took clones before they started looking sick, will the clones be infected? Or is it possible I can save the genetics?

Our healthy soil biome compete for food and bad bacteria usually dont win out.im thinking the perlite base has given the bad bacteria a competition free environment and food to take hold...could be wrong, but 3 plants droppin dead? Yeah i think you made a culture petri dish for fusarium.
