Anyone grow that rents an apt. or other place?

I grow in a spare bedroom that locks - it does not give access to water pipes or any other building components. I built my small hydro garden in a used closet using T5,s (no heat). I also have veges - when I have visitors, I just keep these in view...

P.S. Look up the Sunshine Systems Glow Panel 45 which which uses 75% less electricity and no heat also for about $140 and is equivalent of 250 W HPS - good for starters and as T5 can grow from clones to bud.

I am a landlord and I had a renter grow weed a couple years ago. The renter called me because the lease was about to expire and he wanted to sign a new lease. So I told him I would come by in an hour or two. I guess that wasnt enough time for him to prepare.
I dont think he was using a carbon filter because I could smell "fresh growing marijuana" when I walked into the front door. I told him it smelled a little moldy and he should look into a good HEPA filter for the house. I also noticed an empty cardboard box for a 600 watt hps light on the back porch. It was an aircooled hood and everything. I was like, damn, thats better than my light!!!
I was stuck in a delima because I grow weed. So it wouldnt be right for me to tell him not to grow it. And besides man, fuck the law dude. I dont think there is anything wrong with marijuana. The government lies all day long. The bottom line is, he is a good guy and pays the rent on time. So Ill just leave him alone.
+rep +rep +rep +rep!!! where the fuck are all the rest of the landlords like you! haha nah my landlord is pretty cool. very ecenrtic and hippy-ish. im sure she would be cool w/ it. but i'd rather not bring that up w/ her...

you could buy a cabnit and turn it into a grow cabnit and with a lock so no one will get in it and a charcoal filter so no one will will wmell them so no one will try to open the cabnit anyway.:peace:

ehh, its only like 20 plants... :)
Yeah but the 20 plants are HUGE:hug: lol. Thanks for the input and no matter what I decide to do I'll most likely build a large dresser/wardrobe with the C-Filter like suggested it seems like thats the best way to go with complex or landlord.

Might take my chances and feel out how some LL's are about stuff, are they up tight, drive an SUV with a <3 G.W.Bush bumper sticker etc.

Ask for a clause in the LL/tenat agreement that states tenat shall have minumum of 24 hours notice before an inspection or entry inside the premises, and that tenat shall be present during entry unless otherwise agreed upon. Get a house not a apartment if your gonna rent and grow for heaven sakes. Or move where its legal. Try to find places that are avaliable with a land contract option in the future. 9/10 thats a rehabbed investment property the investors sitting on waiting for the markets to get better and took up renting to pay for it in the mean time. There half ass land lords but usually they got better shit to do then worry about what was suppose to be a quick buck. Like there own grow op in the house they had built. You could always find a house that allows pets and get a nasty looking dobbie or rot.

i lived in a small 1 bedroom apartment and was growing 2 plants in the closet... only using t5's and a dwc bucket... they got so stinky somedays after coming home from work i could smell em gettin off the elevator... didnt bother me that much as it was pretty ghetto and most ppl there smoked... but one day the "new" landlord came knocking and said there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the apt as he was doing his initial rounds... i told him i was smokin a blunt and he asked me to not do it in the apt nemore.. to go to the car to smoke.. i imediately cut down my babies that night... ild say rent a house with a cool landlord who will give u 24 hr notice before coming in.. so even if u have to move something around u have time!!! my 2 cents
