Anyone know anything about this software for growing?

I found this software when doing a search to find some software to run timers rather then going out and purchasing seperate timers for each pump. I found some growing software that I downloaded the free 30 day eval copy and have been playing with. It seems awesome but I have not tried to actually control something with it.

Does anyone have any expeirience with this software?

your link doesnt have any information
Scroll down on the link, you will see where they are talking about the timer. They do not give a lot of info until you download it. Then you will see the workings of it all. Do the free 30 day trial to see what it is about.

ive seen something very similar before for sale, you have to buy all the moniters to hook up to a pc, and it will log everything in for you. you can also hook it up to a modem and have it ring you when something has gone wrong, ie: a triggered motion sensor, water sensor on the floor, ph level.
its sounds great, but expensive

I agree, it may be expensive. I have no idea what all the sensors would cost. They offer a kit for like $55 and up to like $70, but I don't know what it all does. I am not a computer guy, I can barely drive one, haha, but when you consider how much many people have invested in their grow op, it might not be a bad investment. I am sure you will need more then that $55 kit to make it all work, but maybe it is not all that expensive when you see the cost of some of the controllers on the market that cost well over a grand, this one may not be all that bad. I think the software is like $150 and the kit another $75 (we will go with the expensive one in this case) so far that is $225. If it lets me know my pumps have shut down, how much would that have saved me? If you have a LB in each grow and loose it, you lost a lot of time and what, $3000 or more in lost pot?

I would like to hear more on costs if anyone can figure out what all would be needed in addition to the software. I would think your monitor would be your computer monitor as the software shows the monitors on your laptop or desktop. It looks cool and is fun to play with setting up different times and watching stuff go on and off, even if it isn't really doing anything but flashing lights. When you get stoned, all those pretty lights are fun, but they look like an answer to a problem with pump timers, light timers, CO2 and yes, water spills, leaks, temp out of range etc. It looks like it is all there and in one place.

I know you would need to have your CO2 controller to hook up to your tank, your tester for ppm of co2 and nutrients and such so you would not avoid purchasing the hardware, this only controls it.

they are impressive, and its hard to find, and not too many people are using it. but its well worth looking into cause you can keep an eye on things from any where with a computer and a phone.

"Garduino is a gardening Arduino. So far, Garduino:
-Waters my plants whenever their soil moisture level drops below a predefined value.
-Turns on grow lights, but only when it's dark out and only long enough to make the plants get 15 hours of total light (sunlight + supplemental light) daily.
-Alerts me if the temperature around the plants drops below 50 degrees.

This is the first grow-light and auto-water setup i know of that takes into account natural sunlight received and soil moisture level before turning on water / light."

Thanks for all the posts. Sounds like we need to stay away from growtronics then. I found another watering timer software site, it is
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/dotnet/ezSprinkle.aspx?fid=473560&df=90&mpp=25&noise=3&sort=Position&view=Quick&select=2466078

I know I am one of these days going to own one of these set ups if I can find anyone who has used one. I hate to be the first and when it does not work, for years you will get posts back on the thread telling you what an idiot you were to believe that it would work and everyone knows that, not realizing that you were the person to finally divy up the money to find out it doesn't work. It happened to a friend, actually and aquantance I used to purchase green leafy material, as the cops used to call it.

Anyway, it sounds interesting, still no one who has used this software? :joint::joint::joint:
