*i just watered 30 mins b4 taking pics*
anyways im having trouble with this plant its on its 3rd week and has these spots on those two leaves.
the nub leaves are completely yellow and most of the stem
i lowered my Ph from 7.0 to 6.5 seems to have helped the stem get some green to it.
idk if it was from over watering or minor heat stress
any ideas???
oh and not using nutes and only water when the pot is light also the leaves are light green
just been sitting back and smoking hoping it gets better

hyponex potting soil by scotts
total N (0.07%)
phosphate (0.01%)
solubal potash (0.03%)
says all slow release

I had some rusty redness on a seedling leaf in soil that took too long to dry out due to too much water being poured. Transplanted to a bigger pot so it would dry and the redness disappeared. Do you wait until it is dry before watering and how much water are you giving.

yes i wait til its fairly dry and light then about a half a bottle of bottled water
also im using a 300 watt LED light temps rose to 90 when i wasn't paying attention forgot to turn the exhaust fan on.
18/6 light
usually temps 75F-85F 40%-50% humidity

Soil is to hot. I would say flush if it was regular soil that got a little to hot, But since you have the ''commercial'' slow release fertilized soil you cant really do that. Does your soil have the little BB looking fertilizer balls in your soil? If you do and try to flush it just disolves the fertilizer BBs and makes it worse. Hate that soil. If it was me I'd dig it out of that soil and remove as much of that soil as safely as you can without damaging the roots and transplant into good soil. GL with whatever ya decide.

before i even put that soil in the pots i cleared out all the (wood and BBs) form the soil i was confused what the little balls were so i squeezed it and it got in my eye.. haha

looking good after just a few hours so i think i figured it all out transplant really helped

I give the seedling below half a cup of water every time it dries out. That's all it needs. It's also in proper seedling soil which is lighter meaning more oxygen gets to the roots. Take it easier on the water. The longer the water sits the longer the slow release nute bubbles have to pop.

I had overwatering problems with a couple seedlings a couple months ago. Mind you though the symptoms don't look similar

Overwatered seedling from july:

Peace.

The soil your using is for mature plants. What you needed was a potting mix made for seed germination. It should mention seeds right on the packaging like Miracle Grow Seed Starting Mix or Fox Farm Light Warrior.

I use Mg potting mix(feed up to 6mo) with all my seedlings and the n-p-k is .21-.07-.14 and i never get burned vs Hyponex potting mix n-p-k .07-.01-.03 so the soil isn't hot at all
the values of the nutrients are too low, plus i used Hyponex before and didn't get burned i actually got deficiencies with the soil but i only tried it cause it was a cheaper option but
not the cheapest.Imma blame this one on the 90 degree temperature or the possibility something wasted on the seedling.

A week between watering suggests that the soil needs additional aeration, though it seems strange, the wood chips would have helped you out. With that said it looks like this little gal is stressed, beyond just nutrient burn, which is normally progressive and you can watch it happen. Generally watch splash up as it can burn small holes when watering, make sure that the soil you have a young plant in is more aerated than an adult's. At that young age the tap roots are un-calus, therefore there are no air roots to supply oxygen to the newly forming feeder roots. I always make sure that my young seedlings have a 50/50 perlite/soil mixture if I can't be constantly monitoring them. You have to baby them more, but it looks like a baby to me. Also, make sure that your light is far enough away to encourage stretching at first, then lower it slowly every day, that way you know you aren't light burning them. LEDs don't germ and young veg as well as full spectrum IMHO.
Hope this helps,

P.S. What ever you decide to do, please post pictures of the progress. It will make it easier to root out the problem.

i noticed it gets reall perky with temps around 75F-77F the 80F+ it looks all stupid
theres been new growth tho i noticed theres purple veins on the new leafs developing one set it fully purple it may look cool but i doubt its normal..

If it survives, consider yourself really lucky. Got any more beans? I'd start sowing a new batch in proper seed starting mix asap.

The best way, since I started seedlings in MG MC 6 mo. (yeah I started before looking online...) You can, however, work with the soil. If you have all the little bb's out then that is good... if you did :P. I used Netty pots and a tray that I usually just put the water in the tray, about a third way up. This way the MC sucks the water from below a little slower than pouring directly over and saturating the BB's that way. Now I am probably completely off on my theory.. but I did not remove any BB's and did not get nute burn. I will say that through the whole grow my N is very high. I am almost done with the first week of flowering and I have super cropped and lolly popped (somewhat) the plants to hopefully (as well with getting the swelled stem region for super buds) use up more N in the soil. I can add more N if needed.... but have to get the N out of MG. I have since purchased roots organic and fox farm ferts (3 bottle liquid ferts). I will be purchasing good seeds and will do it the right way... get the MG out of there. Though do not get me wrong, MG is the easiest Veg soil... just plain water and your good. Also flushing will be a problem. I will have to see if I can just keep flushing/popping BB's until my PH is good.. do not have enough money for nutrient level meters.
