Assuming Romney will win the Nomination

That sounds like a nice way of saying humans are too stupid for their own good so they need to be ruled. If so, I agree.
Google tragedy of the commons
Ah fuck that I will paste it anyways

Central to Hardin's article is an example (first sketched in an 1833 pamphlet by William Forster Lloyd) involving medieval land tenure in Europe, of herders sharing a common parcel of land, on which they are each entitled to let their cows graze. In Hardin's example, it is in each herder's interest to put the next (and succeeding) cows he acquires onto the land, even if the quality of the common is damaged for all as a result, through overgrazing. The herder receives all of the benefits from an additional cow, while the damage to the common is shared by the entire group. If all herders make this individually rational economic decision, the common will be depleted or even destroyed, to the detriment of all. Hardin also cites modern examples, including the overfishing of the world's oceans and ranchers who graze their cattle on government lands in the American West.[SUP][1][/SUP]

ranchers lease public lands for grazing, as renters and tennants, not as commons which all may exploit. open rangeland grazing rights ended in the early 1900's (hence the cattle drover's song "dont fence me in" and the cattlemen and sheep ranchers wars of the late 1800's) the title to the land remains with the federal or state agency, the tenant is required to maintain the land (fire breaks, no structures, squatters, or waste dumps etc...) and the land is usually sown with forage crops like alfalfa, clover or other grazing forage if allowed. many areas prohibit the planting of forage crops, and only the native grasses and whatnot are allowed, in which case the tenant must ensure the land is not ovvergrazed or stripped bare. your example is quite outdated.

a better example would be urban city parks, where it is used and abused by all and sundry, while only those who pay property taxes may be compelled to pay for it's maintenance. thus the city park is now reduced to a crack flop, a patch of busted asphalt with a bent and useless basketball hoop, or a dry dusty vacant lot with a graffittied over sign by the sidewalk giving it the nominal designation as a park. also, hookers. lots and lots of hookers.

I agree with you Romney has little merit. I guess because Obama may be "less evil" I'm supposed to get a boner over the prospects of him being President? Obama's DEA storm troopers are the ones doing the assaulting by the way.
Obama is by far the most liberal on cannabis of any sitting president in at least a century and a half. Yes, more busts of dispensaries, because there were hardly any dispensaries before the Holder memo. He also said as long as you are state compliant you wouldn't be shut down. He also said he wasn't giving carte blanche to growers to start an industry. Huge coops and noncompliant growers/dispensaries are being shut down, but very few are doing any time, none are doing serious time.

I'm sick of this tea party rhetoric trying to make Obama out to be Anslinger.

How many fucking dispensaries were there in 2007?

Go look at who is intiating the busts
and you will see the name of either a Local republican DA or a republican Federal DA
I posted the name of that bitch in San Diego that is DA that is telling the Feds and local cops to bust Dispensaries

some people think the president is an all powerful dictator with a magic wand.

I wish they would understand he isn't Stalin. The president can't change the law, he can enforce it, or not enforce it. In this case, the Holder memo, he is choosing not to enforce it and giving us a reprieve. So he gives us an inch, but greedy ass holes want to take a foot.

He could reschedule, and I wish he would, but then he would risk the reelection and the economy needs him reelected.

Mark my words, call me on it later, I predict he will reschedule in his second term.

I promise you all, this progress-it is legal in a third of the country-will be reversed under Rmoney if he wins.

It is the intersection between what you are "free to do" and what I am "free to do". I think that you will find that the intersection is crossed more often then you might imagine. Now who would be appropriate to defend you from those who would seek not to "leave you alone"? That protection is the basis of order and that protection is most often government.
The Supreme already ruled that the police have no duty to protect you at all, at all, at all......

So basically what you are saying is that Rmoney will rewrite the constitution and the states will no longer have any state rights? It might take more than a president to do that.

Simpleton

Rmoney will simply crack down on ALL growers, doctors, patients, not just the big multimillion dollar cooperatives and dispensaries, state compliant or not, then he will lock them up in federal-pound-me-in-the-ass prison.

Then he will start some big wars and massive troop deployments.
