Aussies, what fucking timers work from bunnings on normal magnetic ballast and hps? I've gone through 4 now i keep coming home and the bastards havn't turned off my lights. So annoying

The manual ones with the push in pins dont seem to work to well.

You have two options, Buy a dedicated Hydro timer from a hydro shop. A proper Heavy duty one.
The second option is to get an electronic timer. But you need to make sure its rated for the draw of the light.
Proper Hydro ballast timer is of cause the better option.

In the states you can even get one that when the power goes out it sets a timer for say 20 mins so that if the power goes out and back on again whithin a short time frame the ballast isnt trying to strike a hot bulb.

You too eh? I just had one of my new ones crap out a couple days ago. Had an old one do the same a while back. They don't seem to last very long.

I spent 2 hrs last night tying to program my electronic timer...and it didnt work...
Need to be a 12 year old kid or a fkn computer nerd. Ill have to find the instructions..i put em somewhere last year..

I'm looking at some of those digital timers. But I'm not sure what's classed as junk. And what's decent price.

Rethreaded though the mesh. Hopefully the last time I do that. Its a bit rough on the young buds. I saw a few browned pistils. She's otherwise okay.

Car trailer net will do just as good even f you need to gold the net 2 ways so as to make smaller holes

OK..I think i got the timer to work...will see at 9am if she switches off. Going from 24 h to 18/6 for a week and then looking to hopefully go 12/12 on sat. I hope its not going to be to cold during the day. Was 11c today..

Hey guys I moved my light up but these symptoms are still there here are some clearer pics leaf's still turned up on the edges and yellow on some of the tips of leaf

Flush it for a few days with just water see if that sorts it could be going over board with nutes to less is more.

Looks pretty good to me going off that my leafs always curl up a lil nothing to worry about mate

The canoeing seem to be less. I do as suggested by JZS and keep an eye on the outside coloring of those leaves..You may have a problem developing there,

Just a quick note on the application rates of nutes in general. The suggested ratios are normally for a 1000w light. So its wise to start off at 1/2 nutes and run that for awhile and increase if needed.

Even outdoor i do 2 half strength feeds before i go to full feeds
