i had a wonderful sativa plant that survived outdoors many years back in +35 for 9 days straight (was a thirsty bugger) and leaves were as thin as a blade of grass but was one of the best smokes ive prolly had to date but yes jimmy if growing outdoors down under a roll of shade close at hand is a help

thanks for the info re the indoor elements tents lads. i suppose i am expecting a bit much, as you say its very difficult to be completely light tight what with zippers and flaps etc everywhere. looks like the IE tents a goer. have a system planned so may put up some pics when its together. i got the church, SLH and barneys LSD. anyone grown any of these strains out before and can offer advice?

SLH & LSD r good choices, but if u purchased them from Barney's Farm then my advice is throw them in the Bin. The seedbank is junk & is renowned for Hermies.
Indoor Elements make good tents, but EZ Tents are also another good one to look into.

thanks skiz. wasn't too much work surprisingly, although it's basically the only thing I've put my time into since I first planted, and did MANY months of research before I started.

I've got a grow journal over at GK if you wanna check out more.

I was originally going to start with the 5 fem Ak-48s that i ordered but they (www.seedboutique.com) threw in 5 mandala safari mix seeds, so i thought fuck it, why not go all out!

thanks for the info ninja. i got the seeds through a vendor but they are from barneys farm yes. i haven't heard anything bad about barneys farm...? ive heard quite a few bad things about greenhouse though. but i suppose i'll just judge them after i grow them. thinking of kannabia mataro blue next, what do you know about them? might have to bite the bullet and just go with all round reputation and get ak or white russian.

Hey guys i was thinking of doing my first real outdoor grow this season,
me and a mate are planning a GG this season and we found this awesome spot but the only problem is we found wombat holes in the same area.
anyone had any experiences with them or got any suggestions on what we should do?

okay here are my shitty top44 clones , do u guys think i should just throw em out ? they got crazy roots tho.
wow dude what you been doing to them!!! Looks like some of my first attempts when i hadnt worked out nutes yet. I would say chuck as you would be doing fucking well to recover from that, but i would wait for the others with a little more experience.

Looks like maybe nute burn? First couple attempts i was getting the same thing so i just stoped feeding the next lot and they grew so i concluded i was feeding them to much, maybe the same case here?

Grapefruit - Grapefruit also known as Sweet Pink Grapefruit was introduced to the world by Breeder Steve when he started growing clones he found in Vancouver, BC. He got a tray of clones from an unknown breeder labeled “the only plant to grow” and used it in his breeding projects thereafter.

sweet tooth # 3
This Sweet Tooth is the result of one backcross line wherein the goal in searching the father was an emphasis on the taxonomy and aroma of the original SPG mother. The Grapefruit is a true favorite among growers and consumers. It is possibly the most cultivated strain among commercial producers in Vancouver. The preceding BX2 seed that the father was selected from produced quite homogenous grapefruit-like plants, this generation should be suitable for crossing. The plant is high yielding for a Sweet Tooth yet retains the exceptional candied sweetness this strain is famous for. A beautiful plant with a beautiful taste and a positive vibration. A smiling high is guaranteed from these heady flowers. The plants are quite hardy and easy to grow, and prefer a drier finishing time, as the buds become fat enough for mold to be of concern. These chunky monkeys often require staking but in a windy location they should be stout enough to hold their own (significant) weight. Does well as a small bush but will become a large bush given adequate growth parameters. Whether this is an exceptional commercial strain or head stash is for you to decide.

Legends Ultimate Indica (LUI)
The "LegendsUltimate Indica" is a combination of our two most favorite indica's. This F1 hybrid was mothered by a previously unreleased Ortega plant from California. The Ortega's heavy indica traits shone through with its' tight buds and extremely stoney finish. The father, bx2 (second backcross) Sweet Tooth from Spice of Life Seeds, adds the sweet and pungent flavor Breeder Steve strains are know for.

here's a pic of some of my favorite plants from a LUI seed grow... I consider #3 to be the most ortega-like, it is taller, crystallier, more purple and more pungent, although lower yielding than the ST3 phenos...
The Ortega pheno is the plant with larger green fan leaves. The internodes are roughly 4-5mm apart. She is short and stout. The ST leaning pheno is a lot more streatchy, yet has sweeter tasting buds. Can't go wrong with either!

Above is Red from Legends seeds original cut of the Ortega
Theres also another pic ill try to find of Red with his hand CAKED in hash from the ortega, where he used to walk down the fields of Ortegas in switzerland at breeder steves SOL breeding facility, and rub his hand up and down the Ortegas trunks and collect their morning hash.

And then u can get into the Blueberry Father that was provided by DJ Short that was crossed with the original SPG which created the original Sweet tooth, the BB male was exceptional 1 seed out of in 10,000 i think.. Lost to swiss authorities after breeder steves facility was raided.
