ok where the fuck is ninja or someone cos i need help trying to comprehend wot ppl are saying?!?!
im really not following, not being a smarty pants..

so this guy has heavy wet plants sitting in 10something degress, they stay heavy for a week.. the tops are yellowing and they are not over-watered bcos u cant over-water in coco?..
hahaha dont worry ninja has looked at my grow thread and will help out later. I think i might of kinda fucked up the original info i gave you. Come to think of it i donno if the plants remain "wet" for a week....but i only feed them once a week and they dont seem to be drying out but by the same token after a week they arnt bone dry if you check a few inches under the surface. If it helps clear anything up when i feed i water them till i get run off.

Yes SCG i got a 600HPS but it was in a fairly large area and the heat was just disapating to the environment. Its 8:15am now so my lights been on for a few hours so ill go check what the tempts in the tent are in a moment and see if i need to add a heater. The thing that seems to make me think its a defficency is the fact that it only happens to my larger plants as far as i can tell. Ie. the larger plants need more nutes and not getting them so yellowing? I mean worse case scenario it doesnt seem too bad at all on any of the other plants so if i lose only 1/7 it will be ok but wouldnt want the issue to spread to the others.

I drowned my plants in my first coco grow... I am a hydroton grower and we water every friggin hour... I couldn't get my head around not watering a lot as I've grown this way for 15 years,.... Trust me coco can be watered once a day during veg, Ninja likes to give his plants minimal water and you should see the root balls he gets.... He grows in straight coco... I don't know how he does it... Coco can be one of the best mediums, if you can get it right... It just takes time... The plants should tell you when they need water.... I'll stick to hydroton thanks, coco can be messy stuff, clean dirt everywhere....lol....

Thanks Lacey, I dont think its over watering though i think i might of just fucked up my orignal issue. The plants are deff not "wet" but arnt bone dry either....i think they are at the level they need to be and based on what Rocky and Ninja and now you have said if anything i need to increase my feeding schedule. I checked tempts of the tent just then and they are 22.5C but min is 10C (my guess is night time obviously) so might run a heater in there at night?

Either way i took a handful of pics of the problem and posted in my little grow thread so hopefully ninja will have a free moment and diagnose the issue :D

it's crazy easy to overwater in coco, over water and cold = bad. SL is on the money
I only feed them once a week though!?!?!?! Shit wtf am i doing wrong if you guys all water a few times a week and im doing only once a week!!!

Gah fuck it hopefully the tempts will help. Thanks SL, SCG, SM, Lacey and Kmoo. Im going up there tonight at lights out to see what the tempts get to. If they drop below 20 (probably will) ill wack a heat in for lights out period.

Thanks once again for the help guys and gals.

I grow in coco and find it alot easier than most. I had a post on here a while back about some cheap hempy buckets. I will try to find the tutorial but it is pretty easy to make and i water once every 2 days. Found it on ninja's thread along time ago.

Here- Also i kinda adapted a idea from another site but for here in Australia. I did a hempy bucket but it was one of the 98 cent buckets from bunnings. Those buckets are 9.6l and in coco that is a huge plant. So i took the bucket and drilled one hole about a 1 1/2 - 2 inches up and filled the bottom half with perlite up to the hole. It then acts like a mini resevoir holding all the run off and extending time you dont have to water. In the pic that is only 10 days growth of roots (male plant). I had a massive growth in one week after replanting.

it is easy and works. You water once ever 2 days it is that easy.

Skiz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its bcos ur plants are in the fucking cold that they are NOT thirsty, mine and everyone elses are bcos they are warm AND growing AND thirsty and flying.. are u thirsty? now go for a run for 12 hours on a 27 degree day and then see if ur thirsty..

oh and u said that there not 'heavy' heavy, so thats a bit better.. no wukkas for the help bro, i try no to come across like a prick but i pro fail most the time.. but yeh bro, i dont see how this concept is being missed?.. ur plants are sitting in cold damp water=increased chance of root rot= bad root health= slower growth=reduced yield.. ROOTS NEED OXYGEN.. hence like lacey etc, gets hell results, plenty of oxygen..

hahah its ok mate i get the concept but at the same time i dont see why it would only show up now at 9 weeks into the grow and not before. The roots are fucking great though as i rippped some of my spares out coz i didnt have the room for them and the whole pot was pretty much just roots.

I stuck my hand right down deep to check the soil this arvo and its pretty dry....maybe i just suck at explaining how wet the soil is/isnt. I also had the tent at 28.5C at 5pm so tempts have improved :D Ive reset my thermometer to check max and min and tomorrow ill see how well my tent holds in the heat at night time.

ALSO after speaking to Jimmy came across another possible cause. For the last two weeks i used some ph down in my solution....yellowing tops slowly progressing to the bottom (ie the yellow start on the top leaves and works down to the lower leaves) might be Ph burn? Ph is in the high 5 to low 6 range.

Thanks LG. Fiji is a great place. I think it might have some dodgey parts though as my sis went there on an all inclusive and it was pretty dismal. When i went years ago i stayed on a reef and went snorkeling each day. Loved it.

show a pic. From the little i know i think purple is a sign of cold temps. The thing is you havnt really said how your cloning then. ie. In a humidicrib, with a heating mat, what tempts you have, how humid is the area your cloning in, etc

Show a pic with a little info and maybe you will get one of the more qualified guys to help ;)

relax, dont worry about the purple, its nothing. lots of ppl worry bout purple stems wen they are new growers but eventually see that theres nothing to worry about.. (any of the problems ie. N def, that can cause purp stems rarely the problem, its just genes.. relax)

This picture is caused by temprature changing from cold to warm, cold nights and warm days.

Hows the problem going? ur temps are back up so thats good, the problem will prob just disappear..
If ur pH is fucked then uve prob locked out on something... so if they dont improve remember.. Flush, and re-nute pH'd correctly, sweet as and theyll be good in a day or 2
