Aussie Growers Thread

Hmmm been thinkin i set up rdwc but i had it elevated so power outage water everywhere
So only option is 2nd res with float valve.
Means less water an heat problems.
Ill try it out. See how i go might need a chiller
 
Just got finished resuscitating an old, fucked up dual chamber tent into my new propagation station.
Thing barely holds together and has rips and tears but definitely still good enough to do this job.
It's 120cmX90cm.
The bottom chamber has a 4ft T5 HO 4x 54w fluro to keep my mums happy.

The top chamber has regular 2ft fluro on the left with a couple of greenhouses and heat pads for propagation and on the right a 2ft T5 HO 4x 24w fluro for very early veg before they get moved to the veg tent.

I re potted one of the pineapples this afternoon and made an absolute mess of it:(.. I thought I’d untied all the branches but somehow missed two so when I lifted it up two big branches just went snap and the momentum pulled me back and surprised me and I tripped over a fan nearly going arse up with the unpotted plant still in my hands. Omfg what a fucking disaster.
Be interesting to see how she looks tomorrow poor girl. Right in the middle of flower too:(

Today was also seed popping day.
I must have changed my mind 50 times about what to pop so I'm glad they're in the paper towels and
I no longer have to agonize over the decision... for a few months. lol.

Since I pulled the beans out of the fridge I thought I'd take opportunity to snap a family photo.

Sorry to have a luagh at your misfortune but if someone seen me do anything close to that id never hear the end of it an after i kickd the crap outta everythin i would sat back an had a good ol laugh at meself aswell.
Bit of luck she pulls threw for you..

I’m the same. The luck is that bad, the domino effect everything just goes bang bang bang in sequence it’s 3 stooges type stuff only me. And that’s why it doesn’t bother me to share it because I reckon a few would get a good laugh out of it. It’s fucking funny af! lol.

I learned the hard way using Chinese led's and electric ballasts, that weren't insulated or Australian certified.
Turn the AM radio in my car on and AM was all buzz for more than a block around. My whole house was broadcasting lol.
Clips for the leads didn't work either, or shortening the length. From what I could gather there was poor insulation and was leaking between the ballast and cord ends attached to it.
Clips worked for the LED's.

Using a magnetic ballast, I get a very slight hum. But nothing serious, the radio doesn't pick it up a room's distance away and sounds very clear.

I'd encourage everyone to turn on their AM radio. If there's no noise, you're probably fine.

i recon we focus on just plant issues or seed collections, or setup questions, or just pulling the piss, than trying to showing off mega grows, n stuff
As weed slowly becomes more legal, their will be gradually more noobs reading this, and they probly just want to focus one one or two plants

Dunno bout mega crops but allot of the grows that people are postin on these forums whether its indoors or outdoors is wat may inspire as you would say noobs to give growin a few plants ago an if they dont want to read a few posts of crap then im sure they can do a quick search and find all the info they need to help them out.. Not tryna rite your idea off at all the more usefull info the better but at the same time theres nothing wrong with talkin crap from time to time.. :bigjoint:
