2 spotted spider mite not long after hatching
These are adults
You can also get the red spider mite. Sure theres a few others aswell but most common are the reds an 2 spotted, i have the 2 spotted spider mites..

Cheers mate. Yeah I downloaded one yesterday arvo as I was posting here. Life has kept me busy and I just haven't been able to get around to scrubbing and then uploading them. I'll get around to it. It's just not on the top of my things to do list.

No doubt its workd for you an id probs look at using the river sand if i were indoors but out doors i would think the sand would roast undr the 45+ summer heat. Could be wrong though

Well I'm sure that you're pleased with exceeding your own expectations like that. Now comes the worst part, the cure. Ah man, the discipline it requires to not bust open those jars and start enjoying the fruits of your labour but the results really are worth the wait if you ask me. What's the other plant you've done?

Spiders are easier imo ive had both and for broad mites i needed to use kill-a-mite on which i try to avoid neem and everything didnt do fuck all to broads
Not at all mate; mine have it this year in both the pots....five weeks into flower had one branch that a few white thrips and that was it. Not sure where your at but this Summer past in Sydney had some mind blowing temps and all was well...
Anyone companion plant ?
Forgot to mention; the sand also helps with other insects that lay eggs etc under the leaves as it reflects the sun under the leaves...those little pricks don’t like direct sunlight so less of them

Some of those mind blowing temps that you speak of absolutely sent my plants into meltdown mode. Droop city. And any watering/feeding that you did manage to feed them only really just kept them alive and you didn't really see too much progression in term of growth. I'm so fucking happy to be past the ass end of January/February with their signature week long, if not fortnight long heat waves. Fuck that noise!
Yep.....one of those days I remember the outside temp gauge in the car read 49c....wrong. Mine are next to a shed facing west so get the summer sun at its peak from about 1pm onward; plus I was able to water regularly

I'll remember that for next year. My growing "partner" who is stuck in his way of doing things (since the fucking 70's I might add) decided to hit it with a overzealous blast of pyrethium and ever since the foliage has been displaying symptoms that are becoming tough to diagnose. It's one of three things; a response to the use of pesticides, a mobile/immobile nutrient deficiency or simply just over-watering/feeding.
Because he thinks he knows everything and won't be schooled on anything he goes and does shit without informing me such as feeding/watering them the day after I've already done them (without telling me what he's added to water or if it's just straight unadulterated water), spraying them with God knows what etc etc. You guys get the picture. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't want to do this with anybody else, but fuck me swinging, there's absolutely no room for improvement or suggestions with this guy. He just thinks "well I've been getting results for 40+ years so I don't need to improve on shit".

Nothing worse; good luck with it mate...the oil magnifies the sun and burns your leaves that would be the main problem I would say; if you want a natural way to control them with less chance to burn your leaves...you can plant marigolds around your dope plants and use a liquid mixture of chilli; water; dishwashing liquid and olive oil in a blender. Use it as a spray like you would you “neem” oil you guys spoke of; works a treat....

Yea i would agree but during flowerin i would think both as bad apart from you can deal with spider mites once harvested an broad mites will out right fuk ya plants up. I had broads during veg stage an was able to get them undercntrl with roughly 3 to 4 weeks of constantly sprayin them every few days with a a few differnt miticides/pesticides so they didn build a tolerence to a single spray how ever durin flowerin i wouldn use half the crap i used would rather not use anything apart from hittin them with a hose every now an then. I would think broad mites will kill a plant allot quicker then spiders?
Did have pics of the plants that were gettin hit with brd mites but i must of deleted them

Don’t be tempted to buy the Hydrofarm one cuz they’re cheaper, they have heaps of quality issues, and you’ll find that if you search reviews. Wiring comes apart on the sensor and batteries stop charging. Common faults. I had one, lasted a week and luckily got a full refund.
Apogee are best quality for price, the MQ 500 is good and can be found for $1,000 - $1,500. You can get a wand for them too.
There’s probably better things to spend your money on, they’re not a necessity.
