I guess it just comes down to classification etc. I generally see taproots referring to plants that have a specialized main root serving a specific purpose, ie food storage, water storage access to water etc. Like a carrot, or even a lophophora cacctus (peyote).

I guess you can refer to that initial root that comes out from the seed as the taproot but it doesn't consist of the majority of the root system.

This room hasn't even hit full speed on the stretch yet gonna be a fucken jungle! So stoked with this room I started a few years ago with a 1m2 tent that had holes all through it and broken zips slowly built this piece by piece, grow by grow, started with a clone of bubbas gift infested with spider mite.346.jpg346 (2).jpg346 (1).jpg
Ps. I hope i never accidentally turn on the ceiling fan

No your right it doesn't...but to say weed doesn't have a tap root is misleading to newbs cos it certainly does
It's just that the tap root builds a whole root system off itself

Nah I gotta do a lollipop this weekend, I've been helping my bro with his work and that involves crawling through roof spaces knee's and elbows are buggered atm not keen to get crawling under this mess now :clap: :lol: atleast I do small lollipops through veg so half the works done

Im thinking of doing a small run to waste can ya just sit trays under the girls an not worry about runoff to much leave it there an let it get sucked up or evaporated.

In that scenario, it's not really DTW, is it? You're containing the minimal runoff & concentrating the salts buildup in the medium.

For a short period, it'd probably be OK, but you might want to do a weekly "flush" with half-strength nutes that genuinely drains to waste.

I got trays under mine used to have nothing coz i got cheap stick on vinyl but got worried about mold so go trays but I set my feeds up so there is the most minor amount of run off, you don't really need run off if you got your feeds down but a little bit is good to be sure.

Sometimes the trays get full but when the plants are that big they drink through that before it comes a problem n just clean trays inbetween rounds if worried about salt buildup

How much chicken manure to bag of soil ratio ?
Also do I need to add Dolomite lime to buffer ph? Any other additives I can add so I just need to use tap water from start to finish ?? Thanks mate
