Hi team. Given this shitty weather, has anyone got any cheap and cheerful ideas on how to safely dry about a 1/2 p at a time, without stinking out the whole neighbourhood?
I typically have just hung in in my toolshed or laundry but the midday ambient RH was 85% today, so not happening.
I just laugh when the Murcans say 'burp your jars' - fat lot of good that's going to do in these conditions. I can't get it close to ready for a jar and it's going to start backing-up soon.
(Perpetual grow here, I can't hack those long days of trimming a whole 9 week's worth in one go)
I'm using a food dehydrator here. Just keep the room/tent sealed and vent into the roof
You can prob get one cheap and local on Gumtree. They can be used for jerky or dried fruit or herbs, so you can also use those search words. Just ensure that it works - both air flow and heater before you buy.

Considering I usually grow sativas it feels like they skipped stretch to me  but they did stretch its probably just because the photos are quite zoomed in that you're tripping on it

2 weeks and 3 days since flip to be precise
Yet some cunt tried to tell me that stretch last 2-3 weeks minimum and you can’t count flower cycle from flip. Fucking retards.

Here’s my regular girl at 3 weeks and she’s an indica that puts on most of its weight in weeks 4-7 after flip (finished in 7.5-8.5 weeks after flip). Some strains just trigger quicker than others. BE206FB9-EC65-40B2-9266-2F0632A9DC2A.png

This you dont count flower start from flip people are strange.
Like its the easiest most fool proof way. Do they think that breeders with hundreds if not thousands of plants at switch go around inspecting them all every day?
I was in one RIU debate a couple years ago so sent a PM to Kevin Jodry and an email to Shanti. Jodrey said Wonderland uses flip, he doesnt have enough staff to have someone examine every plant in flower every day and having to label every pheno by that would be a nightmare and Shanti has never meet a breeder who goes by anything else but the flip but does acknowledge that he does use it for his longer running mainly OD strains. But states it in the description.
But they still wanted to argue...

eg of Shanti stating it.

Heritage:Afghan Haze
Category:The Naturals - Old school genetics
Family of breed:Afghan x Haze (origins of Thai/Columbia)
Breeder:Nevil and Shantibaba's
Preferred medium:Bio and Hydro, Indoors and outdoors/greenhouse
Expected yield:Indoors 350/450 g/m2, G/h and outdoors 350/450 g/plant
Flowering period:10 weeks from the onset of flowering, mid October if the climate is suitable in the northern hemisphere and April in the southern hemisphere.
Recommendations:For the grower who is keen to learn about Haze hybrids... so preferably not first time growers.
Special Notes:This strain won a lot of hearts over the passed few decades as it was a staple in the early 90's when Nevil conceived it at The Seedbank.

MNS certainly have one of the best grow descriptions and notes. More should be like them.

"A tip for those who do find a long flowering plant they wish to keep...clones usually finish 2-3 weeks quicker than the seed mother plant and therefore will give the grower a possibility to finish something that normally needs the tropics to grow in. "
"Indoors you should select anything that goes up until 16 weeks flowering time and kill any others as they are not practical for indoor rooms. "

Yeah counting is just counting doesn't matter wether you do from flip or from flower onset along as you're consistent, but counting from flip is best way coz gets rid of any variables.

Looking good! Yeah I noticed that my more indica leaning genetics I've ran in passed/present set into budding way faster

Same plants at 7 1/2 weeks when I pulled them because of a combination of humidity and they where pretty much ready (a week is he more would have been nice but the weather had other ideas). 1FA20CCA-66F2-46D0-BB05-5B102F53FCB5.jpeg849DFC87-D36D-4C8D-B273-F289E58A2FD4.jpeg7F13BBD1-57BD-469F-B7AF-06B96E7DDF74.jpeg

So just gonna veg these out maybe another week or so. Fill out the first screen a bit more.

1.2ec 6.0ph chilling.

Hopefully I can get my hands on some of Peter's combi-sol and cal nitrate before flowering as I'm keen to test it out.

Temps are dropping a bit now, classic victoria either it's too hot or too cold lol.
