as of next week all unvaxed 2nd class West aussie citizens will be unable to purchase a carton of beer or enter a bottle shop or drive thru :wall:

good one Adolf McGowan :finger: how can buying a beer at a bottleshop be an issue, they not crowded and you can easilly socially distance

again with the jumping through hoops,, once you submit to one needle you'll get two, then wait you need three, then four then five , then what 6,7,8,9,10

then we want you to also agree to have a tracking app, so we can collect and mine the metadata

cant anyone see whats actually happening, we being forced to agree to one thing then another and then another requirement then before you know it you have lost all your rights and freedoms and can be arrested for not carrying the correct papers

fools better start bringing me cartoons of xxxx gold or they can get stuffed
It's not gonna matter anyway. When WA finally opens you are gonna get hit wit omicron just like everywhere else on the planet and teh vaccines do sweet fuck all to stop it. At this point the vaccines and all the testing is just a money making racket.

How's everyone's outdoor girls looking?
Like shit, A couple of once in a 100y storms blew my hopes, dreams and ambitions into a big pile of shit.

In desperation I bought my old tent out of retirement and started a indoor grow, at the start of December. Which is shit also.......

The vaccines are working pretty well. About half of the COVID patients in hospital are vaccinated. They form 93% of the population. The other half are unvaccinated. They form around 7% of the population. The numbers therefore do not lie. If you are vaccinated you are far less likely to end up in hospital. The unvaccinated are about 13 times more likely than a vaccinated person to be hospitalised.

Ehh if you still look at the nsw general admission hospitalisation rates 50% of those admitted come from the 6% of the nsw population that are unvaxed. For icu it’s close to 75%, so it’s obviously doing something.

Good. The unvaxed can’t afford to be loosing any more brain cells from alcohol.

Also the fed government already has access to most/all of your metadata without you needing to install an app.

True. I shouldn't have said useless but they are not working like a traditional vaccine that stops you getting the disease. They are, at best, reducing severity.

Not all vaccines stop you getting infected, actually most don’t, vaccines are just giving you body a head start on fighting a virus it does get (or makes it so your body can fight it in the first place). but even if they don’t stop the virus they still help lower the side effects when it is contracted.

It’s also worth noting that prior to cov-19 there wasn’t an available vaccine for sars/mers related viruses and it took over 20 years to finally get one. Vaccines takes time to get into the 90+% efficacy rates.

With how severe delta was and how virulent omnicon is I think without the vaccine we’d have seen our hospital systems collapse months ago and a hell of a lot more dead.

Thats a good start. We are playing catch up with Covid once we get in front and have a vaccine like the flue one that targets the incoming strains before they arrive we will be on a level playing field with it. Thats of cause if it doesn't mutate even more on its protein spikes

Yeah I hear you both I am just not as on board as you guys. I have never caught a virus that I am vaccinated for.

I've had both shots and am booked in for a booster I am just skeptical.

You may have not realised you’ve caught a virus you’ve been vaccinated against. Doesn’t mean you didn’t get it, just that the vaccine did its job and your body was able to respond before any symptoms presented.

Vaccines don’t stop you getting a virus and never will.

That may be true but it's just semantics. If you dont get symptoms then that is the same as not having the disease as far as I am concerned. Thats why some vaccines are better than others. The measles, rubella, small pox and so on vaccines work much better than the Flu and the Covid vaccines.

Flu and covid vaccines are less effective for the same reason. The high risk and desire for the virus to mutate

Also the other vaccines you mentions weren’t as effective as they are now and have the advantage of the virus mutating far far less. It’s estimated the first active polio vaccine was less than 50% effective (no actual data collected due to lack of testing/scientific method because it was the 1950’s) with even salks initial inactive version being only 60-70% effective against type 1. It’s now 90% with 2 doses and 99% with 3+ doses.

High efficacy vaccines take time especially when mutations are ever present but even a low efficacy vaccine is better than none.

I couldn't care if they charged for em, Pfizer costs about $35. Which is a small price to pay for a bit of self preservation.
Maybe when the govt is buying them they are $35. Add in the consultation fee and the retail mark up from the GP office and you looking at, at least $100. Have had to get loads of vaccinations when going to different countries over the years and they aint $35

how many of you know someone who has reacted badly to their first or second jabs?

i know a few who said it wasnt to bad but others say they were knocked over by it with headaches and one person i know has had some sort of liver damage after getting jabbed

now they want you to get more

if i dont get jabbed and get covid and self isolate in a rural area how am i hurting anyone but my self

this concept of get jabbed not for your self (because you might still get sick), but for those around you, is horse crap
