Aussie Growers Thread

Been growing hydro for years, have never mixed concentrates and stored them but have mixed concentrates and then added water straight after with no noticeable side effects.

I’ve heard a lot of things like “always add cal/mag 1st”, never mix A&B together in concentrate form”, “Allow your potassium silicate to rest for x amount of time as ph will swing for a while”

I use advanced nutrients ph perfect for hydro and coco. It’s base nutes and I think their cal/mag are chelated so maybe this is why I haven’t noticed any negative effects?

But I personally wouldn’t mix all my concentrates together as you need to feed your plants with different boosters etc at different times of their life and at different strengths depending on your plants requirements.
May work if you are fully dialled in and have Only plants that have been cloned from the 1 mother and mix seperate bottles of concentrate for different stages of their lives.....?

that’s just my opinion. ;)
Kinda. Their calmag definatly isn’t chelated it’s just Epsom salt and calcium nitrate. They do use some whack ass chemistry in their ph perfect range with internal ph regulators they don’t get into detail with. It’s not bad gear, I used to run their 3 part ph perfect series myself until I realised I could get the same results much cheaper.

With adding certain shit first the only thing that’s true for is potassium silicate as that can throw ph way out of whack so add it first, adjust ph, add everything else.

Sorry I’m getting confused with their connoisseur ph perfect, I think the calcium is chelated in it?
I wouldn’t be using Ph perfect if I didn’t work the hours I do, for me it’s one less thing I have to worry about when my time at home is limited.
I find with some strains that I get slight deficiencies that resemble ph being a little on the low side.
Can’t drift through ph ranges with ph perfect.

I think It’s a great nutrient for someone starting out, someone that finds it hard to regularly adjust ph, or for the lazy growers

Hang on.. is that??? you poxy, horrid little fuckers!!!!

I wouldn't have seen them if I wasn't zooming in (don't get excited by the couple of flecks of coir on the leaves) my eyes must be pretty fucked even when I took that leaf off and held it in my hand I couldn't see the webs.

I see weekly pyrethrum baths in this plant's future, lucky there's only one in there. Probably strip out a lot more foliage while I'm at it.

I wouldn't have seen the webbing had you not mentioned it, I did however seen the spotting on the leaves. Hope that gets taken care of because those look really nice!

Those are some spider mites. Pyrethrum won’t do anything and you shouldn’t be spraying it in flower. Have fun and I suggest a bleach bath of everything once your runs done. Spider mites are a pain to get rid of.
