Aussie Growers Thread

Well i moved then into a spot which I think will be better for tommoz. I`ve shaved my head now aswell for tommoz and now its time for some sleep.
I will keep looking in here hopefully on a daily basis to see whats up and also how you grow is going. I will eventually make my own grow journal but want to make sure these girls grow and not die first.

keep them semi sheltered... until they are bigger and you know they can definitely look after themselves... some of them do not like a fuck ton of sunlight early in life...

iim from melbourne 2, i have 5 seedlings in my greenhouse which reached 45degrees yesterday with no air movement....mj cant get enuff sun, the more sun the better.im not sure why your babbies are dying, its not the sun but it could be the heat man.did u say u had out in the yard with a fishtank over them ?with like a tiny hole ?i think that could be your problem in a small dome temps could reach insanely high and lack fresh co2

is the your GF in your pic ?
 
Hey guys weaker seedlings might of been a bad term, I think I heard of it somewhere, but at the same time I might of just came up with it. But yes it does prevent the transplant shock, but yeah with the taproot exposed its easy to kill your seedling.

@smallclosetgrowr, I had 2 seedling under the fish tank. Only 1 died and as soon as that happened I took the other 1 out. Also the second 1 that died was just planted into direct soil of my backyard. It had a 2 liter coke bottle around it just to act as a wind breaker. It was just the middle part of the bottle, no top or bottom. Was able to get alot of air movement but not direct harsh wind.
 
If I wanted to put my 2 girls under a 600w hps how much longer would all you recommend I wait before doing so? Also what light cycle 18/6 or 12/12?
I`m not seeing good things happening with my new batch of beans. Will not go through that supplier again.

There are people that put under HPS lighting from seed as I will be doing with my grow.
18/6 is used for vegging to make the plant bigger without flowering buds.
You can veg as long as you want too get the plants as big as possible before switching to 12/12 for flowering.
12/12 will trick the plant into thinking that it is shifting into the last phase of it's life so it will start flowering.
Was this just a local supplier you got them from?
 
You live, you learn. I just wish I read the seed thread first before I made a order thru this mob.
I think I will give these plants another week outdoors then put them under the 600. Thats if non of the beans I got under the fluro tube sprout.
What is a good timer to get that wont break the bank for 1 light?
 
If you aren't wanting to go with the other mainstream seed banks you can make an order through marijuana-seeds.nl

I have seen a lot of Aussies say they're good and I have had no problems with the beans I got from them... No problems with the seedlings I got and they out perform some of the so called reputable breeders in the growth and health of seedlings... I can't say anything about the smoke from their strains yet... but they were all viable seeds and all look promising...

Even tho some of the strains are obviously ripped from other breeders even nirvana... they even use the same pictures as nirvana has for some of the strains...
 
Hello, fellow Aussie growers =D So glad i found this thread, im currently growing kalashkanova from greenhouse seeds and a critical jack auto, sister's fiance gave the (cj) to me and the kalashkanova is a reveg from my last grow very solid collars.
Waiting on 4 waterfarms from the states, my new tent and new seeds, i'll be growing out, strawberry cough, whitewidow and white rhino, i'll post pics when i get stated.-One Love
 
Should I use my 600hps for veg or will I be better off getting a conversion mh globe? or just get a 400w mh for the job?
 
If anyone needs seeds go to the attitude, i've done 3 orders and gotten my seeds everytime. @mini the more lumans (light) your plants will grow faster the 600 is the safest option as long as you can keep the room to a decent temp, if not go the 400 watt, Conversion ballasts are good too if you have one use it! I tend to veg with 180 watts of blue spectrum cfl with a 400 watt hps, i don't know but the mix of blue and red is nice, + i can get the cfls really close, my kalashkanova is a really stocky plant it grows 3 nodes at a time so the more light and the closer i can get it the better!
