Did you used to look at trichomes when you started out and eventually just developed an eye for what a ready to harvest plant looks like over time?

The picture posted earlier made me think maybe the guy mixed up trichomes for pistils and pulled when 20% of the pistils had changed. That was a nice bud cluster too.

I used to look at trichomes until I realized it isn't necessary.

Swollen calyx and receeded pistils means the plant is ready. It's pretty simple but most don't have the patience especially dispensary growers.

The professional commenting here is growing for the highest THC number not the highest quality. If he says otherwise he's lying to himself and others.

People buying weed from a dispensary are generally uninformed and pick the strain listed with the highest number.

Yeah the medical boom in Los Angeles ruined weed for me for a while.

I don’t react well to straight super high thc and gradually started getting more and more uncomfortable while smoking til I just quit.

Then I figured out what happened, got my hands on some more balanced bud and it’s all good again.
