Auto vs female

If we could run a light constantly at 12-12 and not more then what would be better ?

An estimated yield difference between a female and an auto when they both are 12-12 from seed?
im running an 600watt hps

if it is to save electric, there are other methods, if it is the timing of the light for security/stealth, then try make a cloner box where you can at least allow some root growth and vegging, you could then do sog taking clones from clones. 12/12 from seed is not worth it imo

do you take into consideration the high possibility of lower potency from the auto in your calculations ?

did you mean a photo vs auto ? with the 12/12 light ? if so the auto is a waste of electricity .

Not really.....I mean ive read something about adversly growth if you run an auto at less than 18 hours....But my critical + i read that they can grow outdoors too so i thought i could continue growing them beside my flowering skunk...
I have a topped skunk with 15 tops....she seems pretty monster to me especially for my first grow and pretty healthy too.... i decided to switch to 12-12 so im done with growing different ones... but i have 3 autoflowers in my grow box...
The one seems ready to harvest in about a week or two... dunno...
The other ones have about a month maybe more.... by switching to 12-12 i really saw that my autos slowed down....
Also they dont stink that much as people say....Or at least i am not capable of smelling them...Who knows ive been smoking in my room for like the last 6-7 years so maybe its just me...
I cant wait till its harvested and dry enough to smoke a joint and see if i ruined everything

If the only thing you can do is 12/12 for your autos... do it. You loose some yield but hey, what can you do?

you will hardly pull any thing at all on these auto if you run 12/12 i am talking very little cant even trim them you may decide to turn the entire plant into trim .

That can not happen....she is actually pretty short and she seems pretty damn heavy for its size...So do the other 2 ones....All i want is get some potent fresh and cheaper weed....
Wish me good luck cause in about a week i will know if she got potent....Does potency has to do with the white stuff that my buds are full of this? Or you can have low potent buds but in the eye you cant tell the difference/

I am glad your sure of your self on those 12/12 auto , don't set your self up for a major disappointment

I would never do an auto on 12/12 you will damage your yield big time. 20/4 is the best for autos in my opinion

I've run a few plants straight to 12/12 from germination but they were fem seeds. I've had decent results but the yield isn't amazing. I'm using a 250w HPS and some 300w cheapo LED panels. One plant got me 2.5 pint jars full of buds that get me plenty high.

I know that autos are supposed to enjoy longer light, but it seems like 12/12 results wouldn't be worse than 12/12 results with a normal seed. Am I wrong on that?

Im nowhere near sure for myself....
Im just pretty sure that im not gonna get nothing as you previously said....just because they were not growing at 12-12 from seed but i changed the light schedule so im done with my skunk in about two months...

Im sure youll pull somthing worthy of the autos under 12/12, i dont think it will be a disaster but photos would be better. Surely there must be threads of autos grown 12/12/ for a rough guide.

I'm. Never inted to sound like i am bashing anybody. . I did the 12.12 I had it.laying around freebie . Said what hell. I have the room. The auto actually was taking longer then the photos . when the photos were done I just threw the auto into. The trash. I told my woman jokeingly she had to trim it up she told me I would not be getting shit from her ever again. Lol. Yeah it the plant was that bad.

Which makes me think photos might benefit from ramping up the light cycle in the last week or two not shortening it...

I'm with the rest, don't hope for anything amazing. But I only grow regular seeds no feminized or autos

apart from really loving AK47 or some other auto only strain, i really could never see the added benefit in auto. Even then, there are thousands of photo strains to choose from
