Autoflower Cage Match: Round Two!

i got short stuffs super cali haze an shorts desciption says it takes 110 days start to finnish give or take a day or two, but supposed to have an increased yield of about 3+ o's
I'm only asking here,, not trying to be antagonistic,, just trying to understand things w/ AF's a bit.

"110 days" - that's 15 / 16 weeks. Comparing that to a hybred photoperiod,,, 4 wks veg and into flower I would think could be more productive. But more importantly,, bigger varieties on a more stable strain. Why? (just asking)

On Short Stuff in general,, Seems a lot of folks have problems with their seeds. Sometimes they need to go 12/12 to get flower to start. Sometimes the seeds are nothing like they're described is another I'm seeing here (on RIU generally).
If they need light changing (times) why are they considered "auto"?

I've considered it may be growing technique, growing conditions, and / or skill level. But it could be their seeds???

For me,, the biggest plus on growing autos would be everything in 20 / 4 or 18 / 6 from beginning to end. Would make for a very easy way to grow perpetual.
Biggest deterent for me at the time was finding "regular" autos for seed stock on something I find I'd really like (medically). Then there's the throw-back / pheno thing.

I'm sure many of you have seen this too with autos, either your's or other's.
Do any of you actually have this down to a science / reliable method? If so, I'd really like to hear your thoughts / ideas,,, or how you're doing it.

It's so hard to seperate "operator error" from facts at times. That's why I'm asking.

It is a long time for an Auto, but it is mostly sativa and it takes 15-15 from seed. If it wasn't auto it'd be that long just to flower.

Either mine is stunted because I left in the jiffy too long or it is shocked from the hot soil or or or(now this is what I am hoping) the roots are growing like mad into the soil ready to go boom and explode. It is growing a little and no signs of burn or deficiencies so I am hoping she will take off. Either that I will win a prize for the most comical bud. heh Pics to come tonight.

Autos are crazy and may take years to figure out, for me the reason I do a light change is because I have found with my MI 5 that if I run the lights 24/0(and it was never recommended)that the veg time is longer. It will still show sex in about a week but will continue to grow, and when the pistils really start to bust out I change to 18/6. The plant has built a larger root base and produce about double the yield. I have also started lolly poping them with great results.

Here is an interesting tidbit for yahs. I veg at 16/8 because I am cheap. I ordered a single Serious Seed White Russian from Attitude to try it out. I had her in the veg tent at 16/8 and about 21 22 days she started flowering. I was like wtf I got ripped and they switched up on me. So before I blew up on Attitude I did a google of serious seeds white russian autoflower. Hmmm Whatcha yah know, first site up is serious seeds forum. I clicked on it and low and behold it was Simon telling people to veg at 24/0 or some white russian and ak47 may autoflower on you. They are like that so they can finish in The Netherlands or wherever they are from. And he vegges all his moms under 24/0.

This was kinda for you Canon. I thought instead of an auto not autoflowering I would mention a photoperiod strain that can auto. heh

And btw White Russian is the best pain reliever I have grown yet. Amazing on back pain, I could not believe how well it worked. Most strains will make me comfortable so I can relax but White Russian made my back numb almost like I got a shot from the doc. heh A++++++ strain Fantastic. And it smells like orange sour candy.

simple as that... piks are labeled with what was used... basically macro on a mco budget!!! enjoy... she is now 15 days old from seed...

also, i gave her a lil bit of superthrive and molasses during her first nute feeding... she also received a small amount of schultz plantfood... now im just sorta waiting and watching for nute burn if any... if none, i will up the dose of plant food next time around... lemme emphasize she will be gettin plain water (not nutes or additives) next "watering", the following time will be nute enriched... i am not havig to water very much yet... i think twice since she was "conceived"...

btw... this camera method is called "mvhv".. me an a homie on here (homer371) developed this technique for low mega pixeled cell phone cams... "mvhv" stands for micro via homer vision... thanks to anone who cares... lol ;)

I love how some of your post are passive aggressive...

Nobody ever said that you could not post unrelated photos. Just to clear the air, if you remember, people could post their personal grows in Round 1 as they can here in Round 2. We just had one guy who spammed his personal grow constantly, not only in my thread, but all over RIU and when I asked him to stop many people (cough) got on my ass and it eventually led to a negative end.

But I digress...

You can post your photos of your personal grow as long as you don't spam your personal grow multiple times in a 24 hour period.

Thanks. Figured it would be alright.

Still,, I'll not because I think it's not proper. If they were at least AF's,, perhaps.

Hey,,, Where's YOUR update!!! (;-))

You're right! I will post my update in a bit.

In the meantime, why don't you share some photos of your completely unrelated grow (I'm smiling while typing this). ;)

Well,, maybe just one.... ;-) (about 1/2 flowered)
