I don't know what strains those are but I'm sure there is room for improving yield and size of plants. There always is...
$1 more in soil will increase your root space 50%. More roots equals bigger plants. Bigger plants equals
higher yields. 2 gallon is a little small unless you are running coco coir or just don't want the them to get to
optimum height

if your doing autos no need, 2 gallon soil is plenty of room .i always check my roots they have more than plenty of growth room , with a small grow area like i have why take up more space with bigger planter ,i've used bigger planters and settled on 2 gallon . 1 gallon per foot (plant height)
is how i figure what size pot i use.

I don't know what your idea of "Autos" is but I've pulled over 3 ounces of them before. Your plants could be much bigger and the first mistake your making is pot size. But since it looks like your doing it on purpose stop recommending 2 gallon to "Everyone". Some people want the largest plants they can get

i said 2-3gal is plenty first of all! then showed what i get from 2 gallon .i have used bigger pots and settled on 2 gal as i said . you can use and recommend whatever you want, i am just showing what works for me in a small area .and the fact remains 1ft per gallon ,also grow area size ,and lighting all factor in . also autos just don't veg long enough to warrant a 3-5 gallon pot .if it grew 3 ft tall than ya but i havn't had one that big yet .

telling people never to use anything less than 3 gallons using soil is just nonsense !!!!

Any pics ? I would like to see them !! what strains ? That tall then it would call for 3-5 gallon pot . I have never had an auto more than 28 inches tall.

Pic 1 is my BCN Diesel tonight, pic 2 is my Mi5 tonight. Pic 3 is BCN Friday and 4 is Mi5 on Friday. They are 38 days from seed, how do you guys think they look?

Well my Haze auto is 32", done in 3 days. That's under T5 bulbs in 3gallon soil. If under HPS lights it would have been 4' easily. But that's a Haze auto strain and they grow tall.

I had a Dinafem Fruit Auto finish at 40" and yield 95grams. I also had numerous Lowlife AutoAK end up 3' plus and yield average 2+ ounces. They can all get that tall unless it's a true dwarf strain. I don't have the pics anymore on this computer but if you look in this thread a while back you can see them. Search my posts

What works for you doesn't work for everyone. You made a blanket statement saying "autos don't need 3 gallon pots". Then you went back through and edited that statement.

Well I highly disagree with you. If you do 2 gallon pots with soil you aren't maximizing yield. Simple as that. That's why your plants are so small...

NOOBIE HELP!

This is my Early Widow Autoflower grow, also my first grow. This is slightly over 1 week into the grow. The original cotyledon sprouted, followed by those two distinct leaves soon after. These leaves have started to appear to be growing in a spiral direction. The leaves ar flat, and look pretty healthy but they arent growing straight out. Now these two strange leaves are growing above them. Is this normal growth???

Plant is in a homemade, 3 gallon pot with 1/4 strength miracle grow nutes, aquarium pump, and about 2 feet under a 400W Metal Halide Bulb.

Could it be height from lamp, PH problem, nute problem, normal?

Do you think I could get that much from those strains in my hydro system?

So, Jane Bond, my Mi5 is about 20 inches, maybe 18 and Mary, the BcN Diesel is maybe 15 inches now. The Mi5 is flowering already, a lot. But the BCN only has a few pistils right now, but she takes longer to finish anyway. Do you think I could get an ounce from each one? That would last me two months, more if I don't roll too many joints.

OH TELLING PEOPLE NOT TO USE ANYTHING BUT AT LEAST 3 GALLON POT IS NOT A BLANKET STATMENT !! YOU CAN SAY WHATEVER I STILL DISAGREE 2-3 GALLON POT IS PLENTY . THE FACT IS 1FT PER GALLON , AND LIKE I SAID LIGHT AND SPACE ALL FACTOR IN.
EVEN BREEDERS ONLY RECOMMEND 1-2 GALLON POT'S FOR AUTOS SO LIKE I SAID BEFORE 2-3 GALLON POT IS PLENTY !SIMPLE AS THAT !

LOL, looks like you got another nub that likes to have small plants and yields as well. Bravo!
Keep growing your cute little 2 gallon plants. You might break the 12" barrier someday

if you want such big yields why are you growing plants that you have no control over vegetative state?

you actually can grow Autos big unlike what you guys think. The pots you use are too small and what I've seen you guys don't feed them enough. But I know Surfhead admitted he uses 2 gallon pots since his grow space is limited. So basically he admits 2 gallon pots are not ideal for the largest plant. But he continues to want to contradict his statement and go back through his post and clean them up.

I grow autos in MY MOTHER TENT ONLY. WHEN I HAVE THE EXTRA SPACE
