autoflowering plants -good idea?

just wanted some opinions on autoflowering plants,experience etc.i read where it is possible to veg and flower under the same light ,and therefore keep a continual harvest coming :weed:
 
The optimal light for autos is 20/4 or 18/6 for the Entire life span. No need for two rooms. 1 room, choose a light time 20/4 imo.
 
aye thats true and autos are actually better under longer light periods from what I hear - going to start growing them pretty soon

anyone know if they handle slightly weaker nutrients?
 
good one u going to order fem seeds of autos for rest of your life? or can u clone anything the lives? or u could have two tents and have new auto and pot.... anuff said
 
I like the autos....60-70 days to smoke is good for me....small yeilds but that's ok for those who only grow for themselves. The lowryder 2 I just harvested provided some excellent bud and lucky fo me, I must have not moved the males early enough as one of my fems made seeds.....got 6 as seedlings right now!
About autos.....pick a proven and stable strain....there's an autoflower strain thread here at riu wiht lots of info...

I just got through threw with 5- AK 47 x lr2 . I grew them in fox farm soil, Ocean forest. I chose the soil for the nutes already in it. I gave them no other nute what so ever. Just wanted to see how they would grow on there own. I have 40 seeds of 5 differant strains, whitch i plan to start soon all at once. This bud looks alsome no dout 1 hit quit shit. I use 24 hr light
 
I just harvested an Auto grow and in 9 weeks I harvested 4OZ., seed to harvest. I did White Dwarf Feminized for whatever reason and was completley surprized with the results. I currantly have two other grows going and it seems to be taking forever but my harvest's should be much greater. I will be doing more Auto's just for the fun of it! See for yourself!

47 days start to finish. then 30 days of curing. havent harvetsed yet, going to try the 24hrs of dark on these before i cut them. i posted some pic check them out. Yes the yeild is not alot but when you do 40 yeild shoud be great. i dont sell only for my use so, it should last a long time. sertain strains will yeild alittle more than others so thats a plus. thye veg time is only 10 days then it flower time with the light not changing. no you can not clone life span is not long enough besides you cut a branch you lose bud. if you started 10 and contenued for a month, starting each week soon you would be harvesting every week till you stoped starting seeds.
 
only thing i can see about auto is that there unpredictable. as you can see in pics. but i figure if i do 40 i should have a good ratio of nice plants. hell i got one plant that is only going to be one hit lol.that suk but what do you do right.
 
im looking forward to my next grow and have already started a joural and will keep it up dated. so pull up a chair its going to be a good hi ooops mean good ride.
 
I harvested my lowryder about a month ago....dried and put in jars but....I've been copping a taste and buzz test often....just couldn't help myself...the nugs were so good looking....lr2 is definitely a really good smoke even before curing......I would agree with some observations ....lr2 is a "soaring" high with a really exotic taste! Nice....really nice....My friends all thought it was even better than some ak47 I had to tide me over til harvest...
I also just cut and dried my one lone onyx.....it's very stinky and a first toke report is that is is killer couchlock.....wish more than one seed had made it....but my jar of lowryder 2 will last a while.
