i heard it was like a really cool graphically inclined version of ferngully from some years back!

I think I saw ferngully. Pretty sure I did. That was like 90's right? Like the fairy's home area is being taken over by machines and what not?

That movie was possibly one of the best movies Ive ever seen. And it would be insane to see it high. Which I haven't yet. But I saw it in IMAX 3D when I saw it and it was phenomenal. Just story was really good and graphically it was amazing. Definitely go see it.

But yeah. If that's what ferngully was, then yeah. The same concept basically, but more awesome

HeHe just saw it last night! The RealD 3D really was spectacular! The story was very enjoyable too. It seemed to have everything... laughs, action, tearjerkin moments.. it had it all. I see why it is so popular. If you are a spiritual person, I tell you, YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Hell of a great movie. The acting leaves some to be desired, but overall it was great. The 3-D is awesome. Smoke or eat something before you go.

avatar was a fucking amazing movie

even though the first half doesnt contain much action, the feelings that develop between the two main characters, i dont know how to say it but you can really feel it

you can just feel them fall for eachother, and its the only movie i have ever seen that made me so attatched to the characters, and then there is the crazy battle at the end so yeah

10 out of 10 and the Keenly seal of approval coming from me

It's a good movie if you like blue lizard monkeys tail fucking eachother. Nah, It wasnt bad. Didnt get to see in 3D :( Dosnt come in 3D in my area. Still had quater of a tab and the bong in my lap so it was all sweet, Buzzed me out. Just a little emotional for me considering its like blue lizard monkeys that live in a tree. I would like to smoke a cone in that tree.

Most OVERRATED movie of all time. It is pretty to look at. But the story is the same as Pocahontas. Predictable plot, predictable action. I was disappointed.

For the visual experience, I really enjoyed it. That alone made it worth the ticket price IMO. The plot ideas and the characters felt like dumbed down cliches. The writing seemed to be geared toward young teens, or anyone who doesn't want to think too much at a movie (just wants to be thrilled by the flashy images and lots of action). (No offense meant to those who thought it was great, just my opinion).

As it was ending, I was thinking about how oversimplified and predictable the writing was... then the audience started cheering when the credits started. I can't remember the last time I saw that happen at a movie. I guess they did something right, and the huge investment will pay off.

And I thought you were a smart guy...

I am, that's why I liked it.

The moral of this story and the many before it needs to be repeated over and over and over until we finally get it... in my opinion.

The fact so many people enjoyed it and apparently got some kind of message makes me happy, and so the film did what it was supposed to do... captivate and make people think.

Made people think for 30 minutes. Then back to "reality." They went on to jump in their car, use their computers to talk about the movie and it's message. Not even realizing their own complacency in real life Avatars around the world.

If you are so smart then you should take a moment to educate yourself.

There are real Avatars going on all around this world right now to support the lifestyle of the Western World. They provide you cheap oil to drive your car (fly your planes) and produce goods; precious metals that are used in your computer, ipod, cell phone, pretty much any electronics that you own.

I'm glad that you think that you got the point, unfortunately it went right over your head.
