Shut your damn mouth then. Your silly college course means nothing to me.
That's cool. I took five or six college level horticulture classes. Soil Science and Management happened to be the one specific to our discussion. Some others were Botany 101, Hort 1A, Hort 1B, Insect and Pest Management, etc..

I'm sure you guys grow good bud, and don't work for bitch pay, and either do I. I grow top shelf even in the flood of Cali, my shit does indeed stand out.

Say what? Clarify that for me.

That price is ridiculousness. I'm afraid to buy LED still due to still continual improvements. Also, there's the whole potential lumen maintenance propaganda that Induction Makers are promoting. I like the idea of new technology, but I don't see how you can possibly justify the price?

True , the prices are high, But u must understand that lumens is visible light not usable light.
LED Tech to me is Refining the light wasted. But yes, very expensive.

Im Going the LED rought because of heat,. If i didnt have heat issues id Buy a hid and Mh for sure

"hard in the paint"...You don't say.:-P.. It is absolutely adorable when somebody says they are from alaska, and in the same breath, says ghetto slang like "hard in the paint."

Go read the thread I started about pr/pfr, your just a fool that hasnt done enough research to see the amazing potential leds have to offer.

Kron he was trying to state some shit making him looking better, I said neither of us are impressed pretty much.

Going to hunt that thread down, (Got a link handy?) The only source on par is from wiki and a few led companys sites so far (that ive read oh and a little from the 420 club), I Am Trying to read "EVERYthing" on the subject of leds.

wow, i come to check my thread and i got 9 blown out pages of stoners argueing abouit shit that in no way, shape or form is related to the OP.... i hope theres something useful in those 9 pages. gonna go read...

just so you all know

600w HPS,
1.2 x 1.4 x 1.6 metres
50L res with 35L, 1 plant.
PH is about 5.X, closer to 6.
EC is 1.0-1.2

i got a tiny its bitsy, not even 1mm yellow lookin hole in one of the leaves, its microscopiclly small. could this be because my PH was too low?

you cant run hydro without a ph meter.

you need 5.5-6
Wrong again meatball. I ran this from six to just over seven and never phd the water the entire time. 15 days between rez changes. Used liquid ph drops. Sensi a&b, calmagic, and superthrive.image.jpg You dont need anything. These plants are hearty. They will survive. My friend is running DWC with a starting point of eight and his girls are bigger than mine. Hes using 8" net lids, i used six " and his root system is putting mine to shame. Meatball....when youve done a dwc grow then post, frankly, untill then do us a favor and only interject when you have prior knowledge.

I understand all of that. I love the idea of LED, and do want it to be all it's cracked up to be, but the fact remains that it's still quite expensive for quality equipment. You pretty much have to use the gear for a few years or more to justify the expense. I guess in a small space, in some heat situations, it could be right for that situation. I'm just worried that I'll buy a light, and in 2 years it will be way outdated, like cell phones.

I'm about to try ceramic metal halide in one light starting next week, so I'm all for trying new tech. I would like to get a quality LED in the next year or so, but do have some concerns.

Also, the lumen maintenance may be a real issue. If I have a 50% lumen loss in a few years with the same power draw, that sucks. Don't know if it's real or not, but how can we know? Who has had the same led for three years and done par measurements all along the way?
